WBYHT - 2020 Version

WBYHT (What Brought You Here Today).
I haven't checked in a long time and I thought it would be "interesting" to see some of the most popular keywords that are bringing people to my blog:
  • Paul Walker - I am not sure why but my Paul Walker anecdote is my most popular blog post ever. I think it's pretty funny as I wrote about the time I was being mentally tortured by a dentist. The story was shared before he passed away in 2013 but I'm not sure why it still shows up on Paul Walker searches.

  • Freddy Cougar - This is a complete mystery as it is mentioned only once in my entire blogging history. As far as I can tell, people search for Freddy Krueger accidentally type Freddy Cougar because of autocorrecting, terrible spelling or they really want to find a Freddy Cougar, which is an older lady who still wears slutty Halloween costumes according to Urban Dictionary. I actually prefer this version of Freddy Cougar:

  • Inappropriate boners - Guilty as charged as I wrote "Top 10 Inappropriate Erections" back in 2005. This did not age well.

  • Depression quotes - This is a bit of a toss-up as I have openly talked about my depression and anxiety for a long time. I would like to think that people go to this blog post where I came up with my tagline at the end of my posts: I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  • Baywatch - Ahhh, that wonderful, thought-provoking TV show from the 90s that starred The Hoff. Back in 2005-06, I thought it was "charming" to be a David Hasslehoff fan. Oh boy!
I have 27 posts that mention David Hasselhoff.
    So very, very proud.
This was a dark time in my life.
I wish I could blame it on drugs or some other addiction but it was pure stupidity.
  • Paul - These are all of the Paul mentions on my blog so your guess is as good as mine: Paul Walker, Paul Ryan, Paul Kalinithi, Paul McCartney, Paul Sheldon, Paul Revere and Paul Ruud.
I chose the mention of Paul Ruud because he makes me giggle.

  • Tuggie - It's a fuzzy sock that warms your...

Thanks for stopping by.
I hope all is well in your corner of the world.
I will talk to you soon.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

    1. It's helpful when I have nothing interesting to talk about, Joanne. And that seems to be the case lately.

  5. Is your blog part of blogger? I don't have keywords stat on mine that I can find. That said, I looked up my blog on google and found out someone has used 'almost' the same name for theirs. WTF!

  6. It is interesting what key words will draw viewers in... oh, and let us not forget the Trolls and Bots! I still wonder what drew in the Mumbai Escorts for a time, I guess we'll never know, nothing was particularly scandalous that I was writing about... I swear! The Hoff, OMG, I laughed so hard and you are forgiven.

  8. As many years as I've been blogging, I've never really delved into what brought people to my site. I remember many of these posts, especially Hasselhoff.

  9. When I started my blog, I was too paranoid about relatives that I complained about finding my blog, so I turned off that feature. It would be fun to see how people stumble upon your blog.

  12. I did the same thing as Bijoux. I didn't want my brother 'Dick' and his sweet wife 'Snatchie' finding my blog.

The most read post on my blog is about a turd.

  14. That David Hasselhoff gif is HYPNOTIC!
And Paul Rudd is a national treasure and needs to be protected at all costs.
Now I need to go back to my blog and see what's been the most read post, natch.

    XOXO

  15. Way back, I must have started coming here via someone's blog, not because of a search of anything. I don't think that's activated on mine.
David Hasselhoff! It was maybe on Spongebob, but we'd say his name in a funny way to our son and he'd laugh so hard. LOL
