Thought of the day

We might be in for a rough fall and winter here in Idaho.
I have seen the headlines for El Nino:

But sometimes you've got to feel it to believe it.
Last week it was 99 degrees, and this morning it was 48.
It is only supposed to warm up to 61.
I reached out to Fall's weather spokesperson, and they said:

I reached out to Winter, and they only said:

Good times.
Usually, the Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer, but I guess I will be putting away the Speedos early this year.
How are things looking in your neighborhood?

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

  1. Any blog with Chris Farley is a winner to me.

  2. I'd be suspicious of those bedsheets too.

In my part of the country we seem to have gotten lucky this year. Normally the hot weather stays until the middle of September, but it's already been cool and rainy this week.

I guess Blogspot finally fixed the commenting problem.

  3. The heat wave in SoCal broke, will be returning midweek, and appears to be gone by next weekend. It’s been brutal here because we are not used to the humidity that accompanied the heat this time.

PS: the Safari fix didn’t work for me, but it looks like blogger comments are back to normal today 🤞🏻

  4. Our summer is still going strong with today 97 and the heat index being 115.
I'm ready for some kind of cool!
    That sarcasm is me.

  5. I am not sure what to expect this winter. I read an article predicting a lot of snow from El Nino. I swear to you, the very next article I read predicted a mild winter. It made me laugh. But two years ago, lake effect snows were dumping crazy snow on us. For example Lou Gramm concert was canceled in Erie because the got five feet of snow overnight. We live an hour away but got plenty of snow where we were at. Multiple storms with record-breaking snowfall. State of Emergency. It was nuts. We all survived but boy. I was so grateful to be retired. I hope winter is kind, but the b**** can get psychotic.. I don't trust her.

  6. We are on the good side of El Nino. It usually means a fairly mild winter for us. That sarcasm meme is one of the best I've seen!

  7. I'm hoping to wear my swimming trunks (No speedo, LOL!) at least until my grandsons are back in a couple of weeks. However, I'm definitely ready for cooler weather. Glad blogger got their issue taken care of... have a great weekend!

  8. Love Chris Farley!
But yeah, the weather patterns are looking just like those bedsheets. Whoa.
And Blogger was being an absolute .... nightmare. I comment from Chrome, so I could not leave comments anywhere! Ugh.

    XOXO

  12. It's still in the 90's here, next week over 100 again. The end of October should cool down. I am hoping that some of the predictions for El Nino are going to be wrong.

Blogger has been glitching for me for days. Seems like they might have fixed the commenting problem for now though.

  14. Are Summer has been a bit too hot for the area. We've seen precipitation of late that is truly uncharacteristic. I suppose that's the El Nino weather, eh?

  16. I want cool weather!! To me that is 65. I am so sick of the 90s. We got a break for M-W this week of only high 80s and lower humidity. I long for fall. Those bed sheets cracked me up but what do you think an addict of dateline would think? :-)
