Thought of the day

❤️🦮❤️ Frizzle Appreciation Month!!!! ❤️🦮❤️
Now it is time to celebrate my favorite and best yellow lab.
She turns 9 this month, so it seems fitting to show Ms. Frizzle some love.
But she will not be as willing as Lucy was when it comes to adorning props for her owner's amusement.
Frizz has made it abundantly clear that when it comes to modeling, she is a lot like the Meatloaf song:

Oh, I would do anything for love
I would do anything for love
But I won't do that
No, I won't do that

When she was a puppy, we attempted to dress her up, but she was very adamant about it being no bueno.
Not only is she the bestest girl, but she knows conversational Spanish.
So I will instead share her favorite ball of the week.
She has a crate full of them, and before we head out to play fetch, she takes her time to select the most wonderful ball of them all.
Here's the crate:

And here's this week's winner:

Yes, of all the shiny, happy options, she chose the crackhead of tennis balls.
Once a proud, neon green orb with more bounce than an NBA prospect—now it’s just a limp, balding fuzz sphere who’s lost most of its dignity and has commitment issues.
But beauty is in the eye of the Labrador.
And don't stop retrieving!!!

Hope you are having a good week, and I will talk to you soon.

I will persevere.
I will keep moving.
I will be the stream.

  1. Proposal photo. Oh. Dear.
Frizzle is getting some gray. Dogs are so wonderful, why can't they live 60 years?

    1. I am doing my best to keep her around as long as possible but 60 years of Ms. Frizzle would be perfect.

  4. I'm so happy to see Ms. Frizzle. (no offense, Lucy) Even though I have a Basset granddog, I have TWO Lab granddogs (both chocolate) and I love a Lab. Pat would approve of the collection of balls. He's a fool for fetch.

    2. OMG she's adorable!
And I can believe she likes THAT ball. I'm still amazed at how she'd choose that one, though...

  8. 9 years is great. Ms. Frizzle is so sweet. My dog is 11 years old and still tears the stuffing out of all his toys.

  9. Oh what a sweetie; 9 already, it's hard to believe. Our dog never let us put anything on her. She'd tolerate a bow after a yearly bath but that's about it. What an awesome crate of balls, love her choice! It's well loved.

  10. My guess is she said YES!

  11. Hilarious description of that ball! Yay for Ms Frizzle - I remember when she came into your lives. It doesn't seem like nine years ago!
