Questions Thought of the day
Holy cannoli!!
How is it almost June?
Like two more sleeps.
May flew by along with the rest of 2025.
How is it almost June?
Like two more sleeps.
May flew by along with the rest of 2025.
I try to blog on Thursdays, but my schedule is a mess right now, so I will probably be consistently inconsistent for the rest of the summer.
How was your Memorial Day weekend?
We had a successful softball weekend as Hayden's team took first place in their bracket.
Kyle also went to a concert with a friend, which leads me to my next question:
What was your first concert t-shirt?
Kyle bought a shirt for the band, Inohe.
If I recall correctly - and that is asking a lot these days - I believe my first concert t-shirt was for Van Halen, but the red rocker, Sammy Hagar, was the frontman, so Van Hagar.
And this was the shirt:
Getting a cold/sore throat on the weekend that it is supposed to be almost 100 degrees.
I woke up stuffy and with an unhappy gullet.
Good times.
Love the sexy peasants and the 10 year updated meme!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of bands, how about Sexy Peasants as a name?
DeleteI didn't go to a lot of concerts and I think the only t-shirt I got was at a Journey concert. It's long gone. I like your Van Halen shirt, even if I'm a David Lee Roth person. Well done Hayden!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kelly.
DeleteI didn't buy a lot of concert t's, but I did get a Police shirt, and then Sting, of course, and the BoDeans!
ReplyDeleteNot too shabby.
DeleteI can't even remember my first convert, let alone a t-shirt. ... I always wait for the rest of the information.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to convert my typing skills into big money soon.
DeleteYou are going to have a huge payday heading your way.
DeleteI went to my fair share of concerts, but I can't remember ever buying a shirt.
ReplyDeleteNo worries.
DeleteI am not sure I ever brought a t-shirt at a concert. Give my congratulations to your daughter and I hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeff.
DeleteNice rock tee. Yeah, Van Hagar was what we dubbed that combo well. I wish I could have seen those guys in any iteration, if I'm honest. Happy June!
ReplyDeleteHappy June!!
DeleteLettuce does make me nervous sometimes. My Memorial Day weekend was nice; the weather was beautiful and I went to Hurricane Ridge. I went to many concerts but I don't think I bought any tee-shirts.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice weekend.
DeleteNever went to an outdoor concert, never bought a t-shirt. Boring, I know. Is that your actual t-shirt from your first concert?? Congrats to Hayden and her team! I hope you feel better soon. Somehow a cold seems worse when the weather is hot. Thanks for the memes, especially the kitchen tools - it's completely on the mark :)
ReplyDeleteNope. I have no idea where that shirt is now. Probably in some trash heap as I most likely used it in wrestling practice and it would have smelled awful after a few weeks.
DeleteThe final one is great! My first concert was Rick Springfield and Sparks, but I’ve never actually bought a concert tshirt.
ReplyDeleteAnd Rick is still touring. Never heard of the Sparks.
DeleteI accidentally went to a concert. Hated it. We were at the San Diego wild animal park and found out America would be performing. We were right up close. The sound mixing was terrible, it was waaaay to effin' loud and the guy and girl in front of us were licking each other. Neck, shoulders, arms... it was disgusting.
ReplyDeleteLeft early. The further away we got from the stage, the better the sound mix, though. By the time we got to the parking lot, it was just about perfect.
No t shirt, but an old boyfriend gave me an Aerosmith tee when I was a sophomore in high school.
Is that why he is an old boyfriend? I never like Aerosmith that much. And I have no idea who left this comment. I thought I could maybe figure it out but no clue.
DeleteI've never been to a concert. I don't like crowds and would probably have a panic attack being around more than 10 people. lol I hope you feel better.
ReplyDeleteBased on that, a concert would be the last place you want to be.
DeleteWe have never bought concert teeshirts. I don't feel like I missed anything. Had to look up Inoha. I don't know that I've ever heard of them, but lets be real. Most of the soundtrack for my life comes from Pandora's Mumford and Sons radio or the local 'oldies' station. I guess that I've aged out. Hope you feel better. 100°? Wow. We are in the 50s. Again. I'm tired of being cold.
ReplyDeleteHope the weather has improved and your knee rehab is going well.
DeleteI've been to quite a number of concerts, my first being Three Dog Night (yes I'm that old), but I only ever bought one T-shirt, and that was from a Paul McCartney concert.
ReplyDeleteA good investment, Dave!
DeleteOhhh yay for concerts!
ReplyDeleteMy first concert t-shirt was for Lilith Fair! I went to see Tracy Chapman and Sarah and Christina and all the girls! I lost that t-shirt in one of my moves, though. Still kick myself over that...
XOXO
Bummer about the t-shirt, Sixpence!
