I followed your advice, Joanne.
If you don't know, Joanne, then I would recommend you remedy this by visiting her blog, Cup on a Bus. She always gives great advice and I decided to listen to her this time.
I took a break.
For the last few weeks, we had a lot going on with summer winding down and school starting up so I joined Mr. Shife's mental load management program for the purpose of making up a fake thing to create sympathy for myself while the fact of the matter was that I was just being lazy for the past two weeks.
Anyway, I am back.
I still haven't figured out a cadence yet on when I will post blog updates but I will worry about that later.
Hope you are doing swell, I look forward to reading your updates and I will talk to you soon.
Lava Hot Springs
We spent a few days at one of our favorite places, Lava Hot Springs, to wind down summer.
The kids are a little older every time we visit and they get a little more adventurous.
This year, they decided to tackle the big waterfall on the river that we float.
And they were successful.
HBD Ms. Frizzle
The loveliest lab and the best girl turned 7.
Ms. Frizzle got to go on a few walks, play in the water, got lots of love, extra treats, minimal butt chomps from Lucy and a frozen dessert on her special day.
Meme dump
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.
Glad you are back, hope you had fun on your time away.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary.
DeleteJoanne IS a very wise woman. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteShe is and I did. TY KG!
DeleteYou are a wise man to follow Joanne's advice! Glad you got in some down time. And thanks for all those meme LOLs you posted!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I am a smart dude and listen to advice, Debra. But only sometimes.
DeleteThe Hot Springs look fun!
ReplyDeleteThat last meme? Yes, clouds do look down on us and think that.
They were, Bob. I think you and Carlos should swing by.
DeleteA man who takes advice??? You are a unicorn.
ReplyDeleteI am going to put this on my LinkedIn profile, Debby.
DeleteLookit Ms. Frizzle just sit there while you take a photo of her and her treat! Yes, she surely IS the best girl! Glad you took a break when you needed it. It's important to take care of ourselves. That water sport looks like a lot of fun. Take care, Mr. S.
ReplyDeleteThank you, jenny_o. Ms. Frizzle is so wonderful. We are really lucky to have her as our doggo.
DeleteYou were missed! Glad you had some family fun and a break from us crazies!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bijoux.
DeleteI wondered where you went! Posting should be whenever you feel like it. I love that last meme and I love the photo of Ms. Frizzle.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kelly.
DeleteWelcome back. Glad you and the family picked a family favorite for a last summer fling. Those two are growing sooooooo fast. Remind me of my two youngest grands, adventuring.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joanne.
DeleteA break is always called for when one feels like taking one! I am not so adventurous as your two--yikes. Of course, I'm also not a strong swimmer so I'm a little scared of the water. Loved the memes and several of them hit home like the shirt and the two emails a day. Yes, indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret.
DeleteI'll have two of those Mimosa Brunchables, please.
ReplyDeleteAnd that looks like fun! Lava Hot Springs sounds fab, as it does Mental Load Management Program. Would love to get me some of both.
HBD, Mrs. Frizzle!
XOXO
TY SP!
DeleteOf course, The Clouds. 7 is a very big year, Ms. Frizzle is now a senior canine. It's the age when we're supposed to start spoiling them... right.
ReplyDeleteOh, does it start at 7? Ms. Frizzle lied to me. Oh well. I am not going to stop now.
DeleteLove the funnies. I've known Joanne for years and have several of her hand woven tea towels (dish towels)
ReplyDeleteShe is the best. Thanks, River.
DeleteMental health is very important. I doubt they let you blog from an insane asylum!
ReplyDeleteI think you are probably correct, Ed.
DeleteMay we all experience minimal butt chomps esp. on our birthdays! Glad you all took Joanne's advice. Sounds like life has been good!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bea. A minimal butt chomp every now and then is not too shabby. At least that is what Frizzle tells me.
DeleteYour getaway looks like a blast!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanette.
DeleteHappy Birthday to Ms. Frizzle, can't believe she's 7 already. Lava Hot Springs looks like a lot of fun....for young people....much younger people :)
ReplyDeleteI think we have a year or two left before Kyle is done with it but we will enjoy while we can, kden.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed your time away. The river trip looks fun. Hard to believe kids are back in school already. Summers seem so short nowdays. LOVE brunchables!!
ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
I have mixed feelings about summers since I work from home but I do miss them more than I thought I would, Sandy.
DeleteI love Lava Hot Springs, but it's been over 20 years since I was there. Idaho is blessed with hot springs! Glad you got a way for a bit. I'm still having problems posting on some blogs. -Jeff. https://fromarockyhillside.com
