Hello, my fabulous and wonderful blogging friends!
How are you today?
I am well but I am still trying to wrap my head around that this is the last week of June and that the temperature is going to hit the triple-digits.
We are scheduled to hit 99 degrees on the first day of July. 
Holy butt crack sweat!! 
I guess I better get the Speedos and the razor ready.






T-shirt idea: I mentioned last week that Hayden was a big fan of "Mean Girls" and I was trying to be the cool dad by throwing out quotes from the movie only for Hayden to give me an eye roll. 
My favorite line to say to her was "That's so fetch!" 
Well, that got me thinking that a shirt with Ms. Frizzle's face on it and that quote would be awesome. 





After the fateful news of the Titan submersible, I was glad to see there was a new topic for the "online oracles" to focus on.  I found the attempted military coup in Russia rather fascinating on many different levels but I think I got whiplash trying to keep track of what was actually going on over there. We certainly do live in some interesting times.

    That's an excellent idea for a t-shirt, coffee mug, etc. I attempted to read a news article on the Russian thing and promptly gave up due to boredom.

    I was fascinated by it and do not believe for a minute that Putin will let that pass unpunished, even if Prigozhin is in Belarus. But if you read about Gorbachev's loss of power, you find yourself wondering about deja by.

    OMG Mean Girls rules. Seriously. It's literally an ethnographic study of teendom. It's based on Queen Bees and Wannabes, by Rosalind Wiseman, a book I totally recommend.
    And what about Russia? It's like John Le Carré suddenly decided to write a book with Michael Chrichton. Seriously. And you are right, Blue Check twitter pivoted immediately from being experts in submersibles into experts on Vlad and his shenanigans.
    Also, daddy in speedos? Give him my number. If he can rock that bathing suit, I'm sure he can rock my world.

    The T-shirt idea is awesome. We may never know what happened in Russia, since everything they sounds like something coming out of the mouth of Donald Trump.

    Love the tee-shirt! It works on so many levels. That meme is right on; I still have no clue what went on or didn't go on in Russia. Not sure I want to! I think that mercenary guy whose name I can't spell is toast.

    I've seen Mean Girls and mostly watch with a "What???" expression, because school just wasn't like that when I went and I think it still isn't now, not here in Australia.
