Hello June

Hi there, it's Mr. Shife, world-famous Brazilian butt lift model and head snake milker.
Hi there, it's Mr. Shife, world-famous Brazilian butt lift model and head snake milker.
OK. Now it's fixed.
Sorry about that.
Sometimes I forget that I am only a regionally famous Brazilian butt lift model.
A very happy belated June to you and yours.
Can you believe we are about halfway through 2022?
Since the kids are out of school, June is not as busy activity wise but Kyle and Hayden are home all day long so that makes my working from home interesting.
No birthdays but we do have Father's Day and a few high school graduation parties.
Hayden has a softball camp this month and Kyle passed on summer camps this year but chose to go to the Nerfed gym one day a week to battle other teenage boys for the ultimate glory of being the top Nerf nerd.
I think he gets a "Get Out of Wedgie From a Jock" pass if he wins.

May challenge update

I completed the May Challenge of reading a book almost every night before I went to bed.
Some nights I was just ready to go nighty-night so I skipped the book.
I did finish "The Premonition" by Michael Lewis a few days before the conclusion of May so I started reading another Michael Lewis book called "The New New Thing."
It didn't help me sleep any better but I read a book, which is something I haven't done in a long time.

June challenge

Push-ups every day is the plan.
The first day I did 65, which was kind of depressing because I used to bust 100 without much of a problem.
I am up to 72.
The goal is to be able to do 100 again.

June collar

Here is Ms. Frizzle's collar for the month:

Sweet tooth

It has been 87 days since I had a candy bar.

Halo - Season 1 - Kyle and I are watching this
Obi-Wan Kenobi - Kyle and I are watching this
Shoresy - Season 1
Hacks - Season 2
Reacher - Season 1
The Boys - Season 3
Kids in the Hall - Revival season
Better Call Saul - Season 6
Barry - Season 3

Thanks for stopping by, talk to you soon and I hope are you having good week.

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

  1. What genre does Michael Lewis write? I've never heard of him.. It sounds like summer is settling into its own more relaxed routine, for the kids anyway. Reacher was very true to the books--perfect casting too. Tom Cruise was ludicrous in the role.

  3. Howdy! I’m having a very pleasant weather week, but can June slow down? I need it to last . . . forever! I am watching all reality shows and I’m not embarrassed to admit that. Congrats on the push ups; they hurt my wrists, now that I’m approaching senior citizen hood.

  4. As usual, the Ms. Frizzle collar is stunning.
I need a challenge in June and I'm thinking it should be "Make It Until July". Or read a book ....

  6. Oh, man, Hacks is so great. The Boys is still funny, dark and twisted, so that's good.
The new Kids in the Hall is super good. I'm glad to see all those guys--now past middle age--letting their freak flags fly one more time!

Ohhh I love the idea of a monthly challenge!
And you can do more than fifty pushups without a problem? Whoa. You may have to do a before/after diary. Oh, and Hacks, Reacher and The Boys are all super good. Watching those, too!

    XOXO

p.s. Blogger is being a brat and it's not letting me comment with my name. But hey...

  9. I can’t imagine going through life without reading books. But then my streaming life isn’t nearly as rich as yours. “The Boys” are back for a third season? My reading times are going to take a hit.

  10. I doubt I could do 3 push ups, so you go man! That's an awesome collar this month. Kids is great, funny as ever.

  11. Don't do pushups... ever. True story: we had a neighbor who went out drinking one night and came home with a goat. I'm not that impressed with Obi-Wan, though I did start watching Stranger Things again.

  12. I read every night before bed too but only last 5-10 minutes at the most. I've trained myself to fall asleep while reading, I guess. Even during the day I will get drowsy if I read too long. Love the GIF and the memes!

  13. Is this the same Michael Lewis who wrote "Moneybag" and "The Big Short"? I'll have to see if charging my wallet works. :)

  14. Good luck reaching 100. I can't do 1. lol
    Love the collar.
I watched Better Call Saul and really liked it.

  15. Have you watched Glitch? Although it does have full nudity (and if that doesn’t encourage you to take a peek, nothing will). It’s quite odd. I won’t say much more, you’ll have to check it out on Netflix.
I bet the kids are happy for a school break….I always loved summer break. My sis and I did all kinds of things…and mostly found ways to turn the chores Mum gave us into games.

  16. It sounds like doing pushups is your superpower because whoa nellie that's a lot! Congratulations on that ... and on not eating a candy bar in so long. You have a lot of self-discipline, Mr. S. I admire that!

  18. A Book a Night, well, aren't you the overachiever!!!! I'm still working on a Book I started over a Month ago. And 100 of trying to do anything might kill me at this Season of Life, I'd get tired watching you reach that Goal! Lucky for me, with now having a Houseful of Older Young Adults, Princess T while out of School has plenty of others to torment and ask favors of while out of School bored. The G-Kid Force's Mama showed up unexpectedly after a 15 Year absence out of the Country, it's going well and we're having a blast. Re-assimilating to America has been an experience for her, having lived abroad now for so long and speaking mostly Spanish, but being bilingual is helpful here, as it is in Mexico too, she's taken advantage of that in both Countries, people always need interpreters.
