We normally don't do much to celebrate. In other years we would go out a couple days before the actual day for a evening meal at our favorite restaurant. Since that isn't an option this year, I found a place selling a four course takeout meal so I did that. My wife approved! I even gained some more marital points by doing the dishes which involved throwing all the takeout containers in the trash.
The C word, ugh. Perhaps I'll get to see one (or both?) of my daughters for Christmas 2021. Playing House Party games together from thousands of miles away wasn't the same.
Oh my gosh, don't tell me you are one of those people. I've got a friend who posts cheerful little Christmas reminders all year around. Except for that (major) character flaw, she's really a lovely person.
We are not Valentine's celebrants. It's a bit too made up for us!
