Mr. Shife's History of Dressing Up

Despite looking like a wacko with placko and a weirdo with a beardo, our Halloween 2020 was a success.
Professor Peacock joins a long list of characters I have been over the years.
And since that seems like a better topic than talking about election-day anxiety, here are a few of my hits from the years.

Professor Peacock

A sweet snakeskin jacket, a Benjamin Franklin wig, bushy eyebrows and mustache, reading glasses and a fancy pipe were my accessories for the man devoted to higher education.
I felt like I was a cross between Nic Cage and Dog the Bounty Hunter.
And, if you look closely anne marie in Philly, you can see my peacock feather in my cowboy hat.

Elvis

The King my choice for a holiday party at work but I felt way overexposed wearing my jumpsuit costume in front of all of my coworkers costume because the V went way, way down. I found a Christmas scarf to keep my covered up.

The Captain

I was the Captain of my Fallopian Swim Team for a Halloween party one year and Mrs. Shife was Monica Lewinsky. I thought my sperm costume turned out pretty well. I should have probably worn white tights under my underwear but I really wanted the thongs to pop.

Dorothy

There was no place like home as me and Mrs. Shife hosted our first Halloween party at our house as Dorothy and the Wicked Witch.

Crazy Cat Lady

Look it's me dressed up as another lady. Are you sensing a pattern? I was Gam Gam the crazy cat lady for a Halloween party at work. I think I went to about 15 different thrift stors trying to find cat stuffed animals. Maybe you will be surprised or maybe you won't but there aren't many quality stuffed animals at thrift stores.

Oh No White

Surprise. It's me again as a lady. Have you seen a more unattractive Snow White? My dwarves are awesome but I am a freak show. I think a therapist would have a field day unpeeling all of the layers that is Mr. Shife and why he likes to dress up as a female.

Todd

That is me inside an inflatable Trex costume that affectionaly became known as Todd. I was walking up and down a popular walking path in our town helping make a video for work. You can see a sample of it on Instagram. My coworkers were so impressed with my dinosaur skills that I ended up wearing this costume about 4 more times for different events and activities.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a good week.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  2. I love the Elvis, but I have to say my fave is Snow White. Your wife is super cute as both a dwarf and the Wicked Witch. When we were trick or treating Saturday, there was someone walking down the sidewalk in a similar TRex costume. My grandson kept asking me where the dinosaur was going and wanted to follow him. Lol!

  9. Sadly, or perhaps not, you aren't the prettiest woman out there. Snow White scares me.

The Swim Team was great! My favorite.

  12. You certainly made my day, and I'm even sorry I said you did it in the library. I loved every character, and adored Todd, in his brief video. I hope those children of yours will celebrate the library of characters you are, some day.
