Despite looking like a wacko with placko and a weirdo with a beardo, our Halloween 2020 was a success.
Professor Peacock joins a long list of characters I have been over the years.
And since that seems like a better topic than talking about election-day anxiety, here are a few of my hits from the years.
Professor PeacockA sweet snakeskin jacket, a Benjamin Franklin wig, bushy eyebrows and mustache, reading glasses and a fancy pipe were my accessories for the man devoted to higher education.
I felt like I was a cross between Nic Cage and Dog the Bounty Hunter.
And, if you look closely anne marie in Philly, you can see my peacock feather in my cowboy hat.
ElvisThe King my choice for a holiday party at work but I felt way overexposed wearing my jumpsuit costume in front of all of my coworkers costume because the V went way, way down. I found a Christmas scarf to keep my covered up.
I was the Captain of my Fallopian Swim Team for a Halloween party one year and Mrs. Shife was Monica Lewinsky. I thought my sperm costume turned out pretty well. I should have probably worn white tights under my underwear but I really wanted the thongs to pop.
There was no place like home as me and Mrs. Shife hosted our first Halloween party at our house as Dorothy and the Wicked Witch.
Crazy Cat Lady
Look it's me dressed up as another lady. Are you sensing a pattern? I was Gam Gam the crazy cat lady for a Halloween party at work. I think I went to about 15 different thrift stors trying to find cat stuffed animals. Maybe you will be surprised or maybe you won't but there aren't many quality stuffed animals at thrift stores.
Oh No White
Surprise. It's me again as a lady. Have you seen a more unattractive Snow White? My dwarves are awesome but I am a freak show. I think a therapist would have a field day unpeeling all of the layers that is Mr. Shife and why he likes to dress up as a female.
That is me inside an inflatable Trex costume that affectionaly became known as Todd. I was walking up and down a popular walking path in our town helping make a video for work. You can see a sample of it on Instagram. My coworkers were so impressed with my dinosaur skills that I ended up wearing this costume about 4 more times for different events and activities.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a good week.
Those are great!! And made me smile, today on this very stressful election night.ReplyDelete
I love the Elvis, but I have to say my fave is Snow White. Your wife is super cute as both a dwarf and the Wicked Witch. When we were trick or treating Saturday, there was someone walking down the sidewalk in a similar TRex costume. My grandson kept asking me where the dinosaur was going and wanted to follow him. Lol!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Bijoux. The TRex costume was fun.Delete
Had the Dorothy picture on my fridge for years!!ReplyDelete
Big fan of that costume.Delete
OMG love them all!ReplyDelete
I think you make a great Dorothy and a fantastic Dino.
I think the Elvis was great! Did you do the 'thankyouverymuch' thing?
Thanks for taking my mind off the darn election. I'm so stressed!!
Yes, I did, Sixpence.Delete
You have certainly been some interesting characters over the years! I think you make a good Dorothy and a great dinosaur. Maybe you could work out a cross between the two! Dorothy the dinosaur 🦕!ReplyDelete
Great idea, Bonnie.Delete
I think I now have a few ideas for the next Halloween party.ReplyDelete
Do it, Ed.Delete
hands down, TREX is the winner! I now see your peacock feather. and dr. spo should analyze you to figure out your drag tendencies. mrs. shife is pretty. and is that kyle as a baby on her lap?ReplyDelete
Yes, that is Kyle as a little dude.Delete
I am no longer sure you are a big dumb white guy. Thanks for another uncertainty in a very uncertain day.ReplyDelete
You're welcome, Debby.Delete
Sadly, or perhaps not, you aren't the prettiest woman out there. Snow White scares me.ReplyDelete
The Swim Team was great! My favorite.
You are correct, Bob. Snow White is not the fairest of them all.Delete
Oh that was Fun! Thank for the Break in Political Angst, I NEEDED that!ReplyDelete
You're welcome, Bohemian.Delete
Hahahaaa! Nicely done. Todd cracked me up as well. Things to have possibly dressed up as this year: Pence's fly, RBG, and Kamala Harris in her chucks and blazer.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Bea. Excellent costume suggestions.Delete
You certainly made my day, and I'm even sorry I said you did it in the library. I loved every character, and adored Todd, in his brief video. I hope those children of yours will celebrate the library of characters you are, some day.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Joanne, and me too.Delete
I need to send olivia your picture as crazy cat lady as that is who she went as this year..she will love it.ReplyDelete
I hope Olivia enjoyed it, Jackiesue.Delete
