Random Acts of Shifeness - Logging Off

  • It is so close.
The kids go back to in-person learning twice a week next week.
I have been working from home for almost 7 months and Wednesday will be the first day that it will just be me and Ms. Frizzle.
It is going to be a little weird but I think that is the theme for 2020.
Any suggestions on how I should celebrate?
  • One thing I have been doing to keep up my creativity is thinking of clever ways to say goodbye to my co-workers when I call it a day.
For the last few weeks, I have been posting pictures of a log to indicate I am logging off.
    Here's an example:

  • Well, the logging GIF choices were getting kinda low so I decided to make my own.
Here's the one I shared yesterday

  • Yes, I am a dork. I admitted to it back in 2006 and I am still dorking away in 2020.
I glued eyes on a log and had it pretend it was rolling up the window in my car.
  • Here's another one that I made from earlier in the week:
  • Stay tuned. I got big plans for the log next week.
  • Is this how the descent into madness begins?
First, you are just having fun making a few innocent, silly videos.
Then before you know it, you have given the log a name like Bob and then you start to give the inanimate objects human characteristics like gluing on eyes.

Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy your weekend.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  5. If you do get a log that does judge, just set a chain saw next to it. That'll shut it up.

  7. The descent into Madness began long before now my Friend for most of us. The Granddaughter glued Googly Eyes on the TV and Recycle Trash Bin outside Months ago, so it's not just us older people who've descended... Pandemic Lockdown Extended Stay has been like falling down a surreal Rabbit Hole that even Alice would have trouble navigating. Many of the real life characters in Government and Leadership have been Crazier than Alice's Wonderland villains. Is it no wonder we're all now Mad here? May your Logging Off be Celebrated in Style. May the Freedom you and the Mrs. enjoy be Blissful... we haven't been Liberated yet and are still on the Pandemic Home Schooling Gauntlet.

  9. A sense of humor is the only thing a lot of us have right now, everything else is such a shitshow.

I'm not convinced that we should be opening things up, sending kids to school etc.

But no one has asked me what I think. Which is why I keep my sense of humor going as much as I can.

I bought a bunch of big googly eyes a couple weeks ago with the idea of putting them on household objects and taking photos. It made me laugh. But I haven't done it yet, perhaps just laughing over it was enough?

    Logging off.

  12. Ha!
The googly eyes did it for me. And you're not alone. This pandemic has taken a toll on everybody (and everything). Going back to in-person twice a week, huh? Hopefully it'll be ok. I'm still weary and will be until there's a vaccine. But masks and keeping it clean should help.
    Now, about that Arnold gif...

    XOXO

    1. Thanks, Sixpence. A vaccine would be great but the masks and cleaning are helping. Now if we can get everyone to implement it. Take care.
