Back to Reality

Back from vacation and this was me yesterday after going back to work:

Hallmark should really think about making sympathy cards after a long time away.
Getting back to work is a little rough after 9 days off but it is all good.
We had a wonderful time and I am looking forward to our next little adventure.
Here's a map of all the places we visited:

The highlights were staying at the Grand Targhee Resort, visiting the Grand Teton National Park and enjoying a little town called Lava Hot Springs.
Below are a few photos from our trip and a link to a photo album if you would like to see more of the Shifleys in action.

And I almost forget to show you what Kyle and Hayden did at Lava Hot Springs:

Kyle jumped off the nearly 33-foot platform and Hayden took the plunge from almost 23 feet.
I might be able to string together more words later this week but I am so tired.
Work can be exhausting.
Take care and thanks for stopping by.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  5. Fabulous! I just realized I didn’t know where you live? Boise? Looks like a great trip! We did a big trip to that area in 2007. Flew into SLC, stayed one night in Idaho Falls, then went to Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Cody, Mt. Rushmore and Badlands. Definitely a trip of a lifetime for our kids that we talk about often. Glad you were able to do a summer vacation!

  12. You have a good looking family.
The kids are braver than I've ever been... heights are not my friend.

When I was in the 3rd grade, my family went to Wallowa Lake in Oregon. We stayed in a little cabin for a week, rented horses and took a trail ride and played mini golf. I remember so much about that week. It was one of the best times we ever had as a family. :)

Seeing the horses brought it all back to me.

But no jumping from high places!! No!!
