 Thought of the day

Hurray for gray!
I opened my closet this morning and realized my life currently resembles a printer calibration test sheet when the color cartridges run dry.

It is an unbroken, soul-crushing wall of crushed concrete. Athletic heather. Charcoal heather. Concrete heather. "Did I accidentally wash this with bleach or is it just old?" heather.

I think I am going to call it the 50 shades of heather gray look.

It is called “eliminating decision fatigue”—wearing the same uniform every day to save precious brain cells for other important tasks like passing along basset hound Instagram reels to Mrs. Shife.

Getting dressed in the morning no longer involves thought, coordination, or color theory. I reach in blindly, grab a piece of heather-textured fabric, throw on some workout shorts or joggers, and walk out the door and head to the home office. The entire sequence takes roughly 1.8 seconds.

Everything matches. Nothing clashes. And laundry day? An absolute dream. There’s no sorting whites and brights—just a single, glorious load of synthetic gray.

Life is chaotic, decisions are endless, and sometimes the best choice is to keep things simple, comfortable, and distinctly monochrome.

Thanks for stopping by and I will talk to you soon.

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.
