Thought of the day

I feel like I can finally relax again.

Since last Friday, I’ve had a "to-do" list weighing on me that felt more like a boulder, but as of today, the slate is officially clean.

One of my roles at work involves building and maintaining websites through WordPress. Last week, the "fun" started when a 12-page form—one featuring some pretty extensive conditional logic—decided to break. It couldn’t just be patched; it had to be rebuilt from scratch.

While that simmered in the background, Sunday was spent prepping for my "inner beauty exam," which I successfully passed on Monday.

By Tuesday, I was back at the office, toggling between the rebuilding of that monster form and prepping an hour-long presentation on Web Analytics for a group of 30 people. Wednesday brought a small victory—the form was finally fixed, which left me with nothing to do but "future-worry" about my public speaking gig.

Today was the presentation. It went well, the audience was engaged, and I managed to avoid any tech meltdowns.

Now? I am ready for the ultimate reward: several Coke Zeros, a bucket of popcorn and some completely mindless entertainment. The world can wait until tomorrow.
