Thought of the day
Where in the world was Mr. Shife last week?
Well, he was on spring break with his family.
Any guesses on where our latest adventure took us?
Here are some hints:
- We visited the spot where a famous secret agent once free-climbed a 2,000-foot cliff for a movie opening—without a safety net.
- We walked past the very arch where a young Indiana Jones once discovered a golden cross and learned how to use a whip.
- We stood at the edge of the world where two legendary ladies took a final, flying leap in their 1966 Thunderbird.
- One of the hiking trails we went on was actually an old mining road built during the Cold War.
I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

Looks like you had a great time at the Grand Canyon! Nice that the kids are still young enough to want to do Spring Break with their PARENTS.
ReplyDeleteYou are close, Debra, but we didn't go that far south.
DeleteI didn't realize it was already that warm--in Utah? Love the photos of your family having a great time. In shorts and tee-shirts too!! I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteYou have correctly named the state, Margaret. And yes it was quite warm. Mid-80s for the week.
DeleteForgot to put in accurate info about myself. I don't know why no blogs remember me.
ReplyDeleteI think we all just assumed you were on a top-secret mission.
DeleteI have no idea where you are. A new show - Where in the World is Dumb White Guy? 😅 But it looked like a damn fine time had by all. There are red rocks is that a hint?
ReplyDeleteRed rocks are a big clue so are the arches.
DeleteI do not know those cultural references, but from the photos I think I recognize Arches NP and Canyonlands.
ReplyDeleteI like your thinking, Bijoux. You almost nailed it.
DeleteLoves it!
DeleteIt looks like an awesome vacay. The kids are all grown!
Also, the Indiana Jones reference sent me! LOL
XOXO
TY, SP!
DeleteY'all are "out west". These are great photos, Mr. Shife. What a fun way to spend the break!
ReplyDeleteWe certainly are. Thanks, Kelly.
