Thought of the day

A day late this week, but I have a good excuse.
I was accepting my "Simply the Best" award from the Tina Turner Foundation.
Because Tina told me that I was better than all the rest.
Or I might have been at an all-day work event.
I really wanted to post yesterday, but my employer surely doesn't think I'm the best.
I got this nice surprise when I tried to load up my blog:

So I had to wait until today, when I was back at the office and using a less judgmental wifi.
Anyhoo, how is your Labor Day weekend looking?
Any big plans?
We have a volleyball game and a cross-country meet to attend.
There's been talk of a movie date with Mrs. Shife, as we both want to see The War of the Roses remake.
Hayden and I also discussed seeing the re-release of Jaws in the theater, as it marks the 50th anniversary.
Kyle might want to go for a hike along with the doggos.
Maybe watch some football and take a few naps.
That's all for now.
Bye!!

Frizzle Appreciation Month

Well, this wraps up my appreciation for the most wonderful and sweetest yellow lab I know.
Here's a little-known fact about Ms. Frizzle: She was almost named Blueberry.
I think we made the right choice.

Here's the crate:

And here is this week's winner:

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

  1. And here I thought incontinence was year round. (not speaking for myself, of course). Tell Ms. Frizzle how much I've enjoyed appreciating her this month.

  3. I have no intention of seeing "The Roses" although I love both Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch. I saw the original "War of the Roses" and absolutely despised it. I had just spent five years in the hell of doing separations, divorces, and other contentious family law cases. Believe me, there's nothing satirical about those film(s).

  4. Poor Axl.

I will say, Carlos is such a baby when he's sick that I might try euthanasia.
I kid; I make him sleep in the shed until he recovers.
    Happy Weekend.

    Poor Axel! But really!
    Echinacea!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And my work WiFi is the same.

No big plans for the weekend. I’m afraid of the road warriors!

    XOXO

  6. My son and his family will be in town for a week, so I’ll be busy with them. Echinacea isn’t an easy word to remember 🤣

  7. I have friends coming in this weekend and, of course, I have to work :) I remember Boise State playing Southern Utah when I lived in Cedar City.

  8. How dare they block you! I'll be working as usual. Hope you have a good weekend, it's going to be a hot one!!

  9. I'm working. I work all holidays. They bring in food. And Axel Rose.... I mean, a rose by any other name would...

  10. That medication one reminds me of me suggesting to my mother that my insomniac brother try melatonin. Then I heard her saying to him on the phone, "Margaret thinks you should take melanoma." Your plans sound better than mine; John and I have a birthday party to attend tomorrow (his 7 year old granddaughter) and then I'll be babysitting youngest grandson Monday while his mom is on a backpacking trip. (which I think is a terrible idea for a 6 month old pregnant woman--and told her so)

    1. Yep but I think Mike nailed the real reason with his comment below.

  13. "using a less judgmental wifi"
Your blog doesn't have HTTPS turned on. I get a notice "are you sure you want to proceed" when I click on a link to your blog. I think turning on "settings/HTTPS redirect" will fix that.
