Thought of the day
It’s hard to believe it’s been nine years since we brought the best girl home from Cabela’s back in 2016. Every day with her has been an adventure, and I’m so grateful she’s part of our family!
After 11 incredible years helping children and families as an occupational therapist at a pediatric clinic, today was her last day.
Definitely a bittersweet moment.
Definitely a bittersweet moment.
Change can be a little scary, but if anyone’s ready for it, it’s her.
She’s amazing.
There’s no doubt she’ll quickly become a beloved member of the team just like she did before.
Of course, saying goodbye to the wonderful friends and families she’s supported over the years isn’t easy. But here’s to fresh starts, new adventures and plenty more lives touched by her kindness and skill.
Frizzle Appreciation Month
Besides getting another year older, Ms. Frizzle also played fetch.
She also farted on an elevator.
It was wrong on so many levels!Lucy turned to her and said, “How dare you fart in front of me!”
Belated birthday wishes to Ms. Frizzle! She looks so cute swimming.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to Mrs. Shife as she makes this big change!
Thank you, Kelly! We appreciate it!
DeleteBest of luck to Mrs. Shife in her new job! Middle Child went to OT for about 5 years. It takes a lot of patience to help children in that capacity, so a big THANK YOU from me.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bijoux!!
DeleteI celebrated my 9th birthday with my brother and his friends. My mom thought it would be a GREAT!! IDEA!!! to share our party!!! Still a little salty about that. Changing jobs is hard, even when it's going to be a good fit and you're doing the thing that's best for you. Hope your wife person enjoys her new gig. Working with kids is a noble thing. I say this so people will consider me noble, lol.
ReplyDeleteYou are quite noble, Ami, and thank you for all that you do as well.
DeleteOh, and sorry, I don't know why that came through as anonymous.. it's meeeeeeeeee, Ami. I can't get the drop down to work and change it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know.
DeleteBest wishes to Mrs Shife as she starts her new job!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debra!
DeleteCongrats to Frizzle and the Missus; Frizzle for another trip around the sun and the Missus for change, which I think is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI annoyed at that sign because my Penguin smokes, drinks, swears and is buck naked almost all the time and now I can't take him out???
And by Penguin you mean Carlos?
DeleteWhat new adventure is Mrs. Shife off to? Making changes is exciting but also can be scary. (for me the first days of any job was terrifying, even when it was only a new school year at the same school) That haircut one made me laugh. I used to be that person who wondered why the beautiful hair style in the photo didn't make me a movie star.
ReplyDeleteShe is off to a new pediatric therapy clinic, Margaret. Same job just a new place.
DeleteHuntleyBiGuy:
ReplyDeleteHere’s to a happy fresh start for your better half! My it be a long and fruitful adventure.
Thank you, HuntleyBiGuy!
DeleteWe give a lot of undue credit to televisions these days for being "smart" when they probably are less intelligent than a 5 year old.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeletePenguins are bad, who knew...
ReplyDeleteThere are rumors
DeleteOmg congrats to Mrs. Shife!
ReplyDeleteAnd I also want to know about the penguins!
XOXO
I think Reddit will probably have the answers.
DeleteChanges all around, with birthdays and new opportunities. She will do great!
ReplyDeleteThanks, kden.
DeleteNine is very good! And dog farts? Sometimes you need a Mark V gas mask. And I wonder why Netflix does that?
ReplyDeleteDog farts are vile.
DeleteHappy birthday!
ReplyDeleteTY, MK!
DeleteOMG...the Derek The Guy meme had me laugh out loud...it scared my kitty.
ReplyDeletePoor kitty!
