Thought of the day
Thank you for the birthday wishes.
I am still riding high from hearing from family and friends congratulating me on leveling up.
I don't know if reading glasses, ear hair and joint aches and pains feel like upgrades, but I am grateful to celebrate another trip around the sun.
Kyle gave me an awesome present at his track meet as he set new PRs in the 1600 and the 800.
In two years, he has improved his mile time from 6:55 to 5:16 and his 800 from 2:57 to 2:23.
It is so awesome watching him run and get stronger and stronger.
Mrs. Shife and Hayden thought it was time to update my hat for my birthday.
I think she made the right call.
I love hats and buffalo.
And I am all in if it is a surfing buffalo, so it was nice to get a new hat.
I figured the birthday was also a good time to update my Keanu avatar, and here's the new one:

DeleteCongrats to Kyle on his continual self-improvement - very impressive! Your older hat has seen some serious sun (and probably laundry detergent). Nice to have a new one, I'm sure. Keanu is, by all accounts a very good guy, so he's a great choice of avatar for you.
