Thought of the day
Hello, wonderful blogging friends.
Apologies for not updating last week, but I had to take care of some work.
Apologies for not updating last week, but I had to take care of some work.
And I was on a tight deadline.
I was doing freelance work for a PR company.
I had to prepare a presentation on what to do if you are accidentally added to a secret war plans chat.
I don't think anything will come of it, but who knows these days?
Actually, the kids were on spring break, so we were all enjoying a little downtime before the Shifley spring sports schedule starts surging strongly.
This week we have practices, job interviews, a softball game, a volleyball game, a track meet and a speech tournament.
March madness, indeed.
The weather is also a little bonkers.
We are currently in the Winsprummall or Spring of Deception. The last few days we have had lots of sunshine and the temps in the 70s.
But the end is near as the third winter is ready to say hello.
Here's the forecast for next week:
If you look closely, you can see some snow flurries on Tuesday.
Good times.
So how are things going for you?
So how are things going for you?
Hopefully, you are hanging in there.
Thanks for stopping by, and I will talk to you soon.
Hahahaha
ReplyDeleteI see what you did there with the PR job thingy.
And I CANNOT imagine the flurry of activity. Whoa.
Now, you and Ms. Shife will have to make some time to watch The Residence. While you're on Netflix, add Kaos. And that one is without the kids.
XOXO
Glad you enjoyed it, Sixpence. Thanks for the recommendation.
DeleteI'm hoping we are done with the cold weather. I saw the weatherman forecast some upcoming highs that seemed downright balmy for where you live. Enjoy! I think garage working season is officially here for me and as you know, I have some work to do while it is thus. So if you stop by, knock on the garage door and not the front door.
ReplyDeleteWill do, Ed. Enjoy the garage time.
DeleteWe are in the pollenating season. That meme with the pill case hits a little too close to home. As for life.... we need to be dogs kicking grass.
ReplyDeleteWe are as well, Kelly. No bueno especially when the wind picks up.
DeleteLol, it's annoying when not even the weather cooperates. :-). Hope ya'll enjoyed spring break!
ReplyDeleteCome on weather, quit it.
DeleteJob interviews? Who is looking for a job? Our forecast is similar, minus the snow flurries. I never did get the predicted hail although it was a pretty hefty thunderstorm. Mari was freaked out!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Shife and Kyle.
DeleteThe playtime prep for future pill organizers, LOL!
ReplyDeleteSo true, right?
DeleteYup, I woke up to snow yesterday. 😡 And whenever we get nice temps, it rains. I love the Sesame Street meme. So true!
ReplyDeleteHope it gets real nice for you soon, Bijoux.
DeleteI can no longer say it any other way than vol-canoes.
ReplyDeleteYou and Carlos watch out for those vol-canoes, Bob.
Delete... I thought I was the only one who said "okey dokie artichokie!" followed by the now standard "itsy Bitsy bolliwoli!"
ReplyDelete"itsy Bitsy bolliwoli!" is awesome.
DeleteOh, the lies I told when my kids were young!
ReplyDeleteI have a few as well, Kathy.
DeleteOur weather has been the same; so many types of storms in one day, then 75 the next! Great memes as usual.
ReplyDeleteWe will be complaining about the heat soon enough.
DeleteLMAO Our weather has been crazy. 90 one day and 70 the next.
ReplyDelete70 would be lovely.
DeleteThat schedule of Idaho weather looks like it could be for us, too. We're in winter mode again, snow twice last week and more (quite a bit) next week. But as we (and probably all of you) say, at this time of year it won't last long.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the memes; I've always loved that one of the dog in the cone looking at the lamp. Good luck as you resume regular school programming.
It's all about mindset, right? We got snow yesterday and it only lasted a few minutes so just go with it and like you said it will not last long.
DeleteYour temps have been higher than ours of late here in the SF Bay Area. It's been downright chilly. (I'm not complaining, actually, as I don't much enjoy heat.) I noticed many visiting families here in SF last week, which clued me into the fact that it was Spring Break. Be well, Mr. Shife!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bea. You be well too!!
