Thought of the day

I haven't updated the blog with new dog collars in a hot minute.
P.S. In case you were wondering about the origins of  hot minute as I was this morning
P.S.S. And if you just can't help yourself with the inquisitiveness, a hot minute is 7 hours and 11 seconds in dog years.

For March, they are both sporting green ones with Frizzle going with the plaid look because nothing says "I'm ready to chase those balls in the Highlands" like a good tartan and Lucy is rocking the shamrocks as she hopes the luck of the Irish will bring her a shredded bag of cheese.

Frizzle's collar will unclasp sometimes and it made me laugh when I saw her.
I walked into the room, and there she was, sitting on the couch with her collar popped off.
It was like she had just got back from the office and taken off her tie or coat after a long day of looking at spreadsheets. (in my imagined world, she would work in accounting and love fantasy baseball)

I am feeling much better.
Thank you for the kind words.
Just in time to navigate the Shifley spring sports schedule.

Starting this week, Kyle has track and speech/debate, which leaves him free from activities on Sundays. Hayden has softball and volleyball, which leaves her no free days.
I am not complaining just sharing.
We signed up for this.
I will have to ask Frizzle to create a spreadsheet to help keep track of all the practices, meets and games.
Otherwise, I might show up to Kyle's debate with the softball bats and running shoes.

Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you are doing well and I will talk to you soon.

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

  3. I love your dogs. Mrs. Frizzle has the look of a woman walking in the house and ripping off her bra to let the puppies free.

*ahem* Not that I, myself, have ever behaved in such a manner.

Watching Maid. Thanks for the recommendation.

  4. Looks like Miss Frizzle had a rough day at the firm. Does she get a martini?

    1. I never thought about it, Bob, but I think a martini would be to her liking.

  6. I like the March collars. Pat is wearing green, but not the right color green for March. He'll be changing to honey bees soon.

  8. A spreadsheet might be necessary to keep track of where everyone is supposed to be and when! I remember those crazy schedules: music, dance, gymnastics for us. I was thinking the after work bra removal myself! LOL

  10. Fancy collars! Very nice :) Thanks for the memes. Yep, AI is not the brightest. We were told we'd all be slaves to it by now but it doesn't seem to be happening quite as fast as "they" said it would ...

LoL well, I’ve always blamed the planets.
And I work with someone who has your exact same schedule. He told me that he secretly thinks it’ll get better when his three kids go to college 🤓🤣

    XOXO

  14. One of the hidden perks of spacing your children out six years apart, you rarely have competing schedules you need to attend. The obvious downside to that is that instead of six years of crazy schedules, we have twelve years.

  15. The campsite meme cracked me up. We used to camp alot back in the day, when we were young enough to sleep on the ground and be able to get up from doing so easily. Those were the days. Loving the plaid collar, very stylish. It does sound like you need a spread sheet for the activities. Enjoy Spring.
