Thought of the day

Here I am better late than never.
It has been a pretty hectic week.
Sick kids, returning to work after 10 days off, practices, games, milestones, anniversaries, anxiety attacks, canceling our Team Lucrizzle wellness retreat in Springfield and other things I can't remember.
Sometimes we need a busy scale to convey our busyness for the week.
Vote for your favorite.
We were busier than _________ this week.

a) Busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs
b) Busier than a mosquito at a nudist camp
c) Busier than a one-toothed man in a corn cob eating contest
d) Busier than a cat burying a turd on a frozen pond
e) Busier than a one-armed bus driver with jock itch
f) Busier than a portable toilet at a chili-eating contest

My choice is d.

I have no idea how busy a cat would be trying to accomplish this but it paints a funny visual.
Plus, I like the word turd.

Meme dump

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

  13. True story:
The first time I had edibles I had a full gummy bear. I had no idea that they come in different intensities and was wondering when it would hit. Everything was fine and dandy until I had a salad and then everything went to hell in a handbasket: I danced to a very hot lesbian singing InSync songs, went on a little trolley trip and fell asleep on my friend's sofa at 8:30 pm.
Almost like that woman joining her own search party without the walking.

ALWAYS check to see what edibles you're having. Always.

    XOXO

  14. I have never had an edible, but often think they'd probably do me some good. As for your question, my go-to saying is "I'm as busy as a one armed paper hanger."

  15. I vote B. Sorry to hear about all kiddos being sick. Hope all are back to normal now. We'll soon be in the cold and flu season, and then there's still the damn Covid to contend with. It's really hard to stay health when you have kids at home. Good luck to you all.
