Thought of the day
Kyle and I were at the gym last week.
We were on the treadmills and the TV in front of us was playing the Family Feud.
We could follow along because of the closed captioning.
The question was "Name something Abraham Lincoln used to ride on."
The top three answers were horse, wagon, and train.
The final answer had the family stumped.
I had an answer but it definitely wasn't polite.
I looked at Kyle and he was smirking.
I then grinned a bit because I knew what he was going to tell me.
"Let's hear it, Kyle," I said.
He said, "Mrs. Lincoln."
"That's my boy," I said.
But we both thought there was no way that was the final answer.
This is the Family Feud.
Then it happened.
Would you have said that answer?
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and I will talk to you soon.
Meme dump
I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.
What is wrong with the writers at Family Feud? They are really running out of questions for America, aren’t they?
ReplyDeleteThe haunted house of my poems….🤣🤣🤣 I can see people running and screaming now. And the reading at a young age explains my confusion over the word ‘chaos.’
The Feud is usually on when I am at the gym so it is always interesting seeing what they come up with.
DeleteI love Steve Harvey and I've watched enough of his episodes to NOT be surprised by that answer! Some of those memes had me laughing out loud. Especially the toddler one.
ReplyDeleteThe toddler meme is a good one.
DeleteI would have thought of that answer. I probably wouldn’t have said it in front of my dad.
ReplyDeleteI let him know that it was OK to say and he let it rip.
DeleteI don't think I would have mentioned that one.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't too shocked by his answer.
DeleteI would have said that answer but not on TV. :) Steve Harvey's over-acting gets on my nerves; of course the show lives for racy responses like that!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does.
DeleteHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteOHHH so cute! He's getting to that age, huh?
And I read that Ryan Reynolds meme was an actual photo he posted to his social media. Sans captions, of course!
XOXO
Indeed, Sixpence. Sounds like something Ryan Reynolds would do.
DeleteThat was a RIGHTEOUS WIN!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou betcha!!
DeleteI started reading at a very young age, and was corrected very early on that it was whores divors.
ReplyDeleteI think I learned to mispronounce that one from a movie.
DeleteWow. I was shocked the woman said it and stunned that it was an actual answer!!
ReplyDeleteI was more surprised that it was an actual answer as well.
DeleteI used to be a phone call girl. Now texts work better.
ReplyDeleteI only talk to like 5 people. Everyone else is a text.
DeleteI have a TV, but don't watch TV. It's for Netflix, etal. It's good to see why I gave it up.
ReplyDeleteYou are not missing too much, Joanne.
DeleteI would have said the same thing. Kyle's funny. :-D
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Steve fan due to his remarks about atheists. Ignorance aggravates me.
He is a funny dude. Glad he has a good sense of humor.
DeleteYeah, I would've said that, though like others, not on tv. That last meme is the best.
ReplyDeleteI definitely would have thought it but I am not sure I would have said it either.
DeleteSadly or maybe not, that was the first thing that I thought of. I wouldn't have said it, my husband sure as hell would have.
ReplyDeleteBased on what I have read, Rick would have said it.
DeleteThat's funny.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is.
DeleteWell in their survey of 100 people, only two said "Mrs Lincoln, and they were both probably Middle Schoolers (or haven't evolved from there).
ReplyDeleteYou are probably right, Jeff. Middle school boys to be exact.
DeleteOh my on Mrs. Lincoln. I hope not too many children were watching. Fun memes as always. Hope you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteAll is well. Thanks, Sandy.
