- As much as I complain about the weather on my blog, you would think I could get sponsored by The Weather Channel or something.
I do spend a fair amount of time caring too much about the weather.
I don't know when this kicks in but it seems to have ramped up in the past few years.
Maybe it is me prepping for my retirement when I will sit around with other old men and talk about the weather.
In my defense, I do remember caring about the weather as a kid because of baseball.
I played a lot of ball and would always do a lot of amateur meteorology as I stared out the living room window praying that those dark clouds would go away.
I even came up with a chant.
Maybe you heard it.
"Rain, rain go away. Come again some other day."
Yep, I am pretty sure I came up with that one. - What in the wide world of fudge is this?

Okay I went to the same place with that ice cream. Too funny. We are both 12 aren't we? I too talk too much about the weather but not until June, July, August, Sept. Summer here sucks! Winter, Fall and Spring are divine!
ReplyDeleteI play and coach softball in the spring so I am always hopeful for decent but I am usually disappointed because spring here in Idaho takes a little bit to make up its mind.

And the weather here in Chi has been INSANE. I'm going through a bout of the fucking allergies cause it's been so warm a ton of plants are... flowering. In March.

It's been cold(ish) here too but beautiful today with sun. The mountains do need snow and they appear to be getting it. Go, snowpack!

DeleteYou got a snowstorm instead of a warm up and we're having a heatwave or two when we are supposed to be cooling down. But we are used to it, nothing realy cools down here until after Easter every year.

DeleteI hear ya big time on the weather. I think as we get older we just don't adjust as well to the cold, or the ugly, or the too hot. Our level of tolerance is less. I used to love winter and the snow and would purposely go walking in it, go skiing etc. Now, I start counting down til spring as soon as it's fall. I really can't stand winter, the gold, the ugly, the lack of sun etc. Fun meme's...particularly the calm down one.
