Thought of the day
I have the high ground, Dad. - Kyle
Kyle modified a Star Wars quote to let me know that he is now officially taller than me.
Hopefully, things go better for me than they did for Anakin Skywalker.
I am happy for him and hope he keeps growing.
I was 5'1" and 90 pounds when I was his age (14).
Kyle is 5'8" and 110 pounds.
Meme dump
Thanks for stopping by and saying hello.
I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.
Hahaha
ReplyDeleteWell, he’s basically as tall as I am? That makes me kinda short or it makes him kinda tall.
Oh, he’s also forty pounds lighter, so there’s that.
I cackled with the Gay meme.
XOXO
SIxpence
I just can't believe he's 14. How did that happen so fast?
DeleteThat last one: paybacks!
ReplyDeleteKyle still owes me for watching "Cars" about 6,000 times.
DeleteEvery one of these made me chuckle. Thanks, I needed some laughs.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome.
DeleteThat John fellow has handled every jar in my cupboard.
ReplyDeleteNot cool, John.
DeleteJoanne, turn your jar upside down and give it a thump on the table. When you turn it right side up, you will notice the seal is broken. It will open easily.
ReplyDeleteMr Shife, that is a shocking thing and seems to happen overnight...like you go to bed one night and everything is normal. You get up the next morning and your kid is taller than you.
Great tip, Debby. Thank you.
Delete5'8'' at 14? Sheesh, how tall will he get once he hits his growth spurt?
ReplyDeleteNot sure. I think 5'10 would be awesome for him.
DeleteI am only 5 foot, zero inches and way more than 110 pounds. Maybe I could buy one of those stretching racks from the dark ages.
ReplyDeleteI have been tempted to try those out too.
Delete5'8 is a great height! I was more like you at 14.
ReplyDeleteI was so short at that age so I am really happy for him.
DeleteI’ve been known to practice a phone call!
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteFor some reason the last one made me think of the Swifties who are now happily watching Chiefs games with their dad. Maybe because the media won't leave the topic alone?
ReplyDeleteThey are having a field day with it.
DeleteI'm thinking the same as Debra - Kyle is probably not done growing. As a short person, it amazed me when both my kids surpassed me and then some. But I still have my mother to look down upon :) I think I read somewhere that each generation gets taller than the one before it, due to better nutrition. Think about that when you're feeling left behind. You did this yourself with your broccoli and your carrots, lol
ReplyDeleteProbably not. He seems to have some growing to do. And he is very conscious about what he puts into his body so nutrition is helping.
DeleteI can’t wait to hook future grandkids on Little Mermaid for some payback!
ReplyDeleteGood thinking, Ed.
DeleteTony's sons are 6 and 6 3", they surpassed him a long time ago!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I can handle Kyle that tall.
DeleteWow, he might be a bit taller if he keeps growing. My grandson's father is 6'7" and my grandson is 10 years old and 5 feet tall. I think he might be tall like his dad.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it.
DeleteGood luck with pulling that last meme off!
ReplyDeleteIt will be worth it.
DeleteLove those memes.
