Howdy July!

What's that underneath my thigh?
Oh, it's lots of sweat... it must be July!
Sweet Lincoln's mullet, it is hot.
It's going to be near 100 for the foreseeable future.
How are things looking in your area?
Besides being hot, things are not too shabby here.
We just got back from another vacation so I am recharged and ready to ðŸ¤˜ rock.🤘
I am sure those feelings will change after being back at work for a few days but I am going to enjoy it while I can.
I hope you are staying safe and sane in your corner of the world.
Thanks for stopping by and I will talk to you tomorrow.

June challenge update

Getting used to my new work schedule was the goal and it wasn't that much of an adjustment.
I really enjoy only working 4 days a week.
The plan was to do it through the summer but I think I am going to continue beyond that because it's awesome having a long weekend every weekend.

July challenge

Keep track of all the movies we are watching on the Letterboxd app so I remember them and then we can get some suggestions on what to watch instead of scrolling through channels for way too long trying to make up our mind on what to watch.

July collars

The doggos were feeling patriotic this month.
Here is Ms. Frizzle's collar for the month:

Here is Lucy's collar for the month:

Team Lucrizzle

What am I watching?

This is what I have on my streaming to-do list:

Silo - Season 1
Survivor - Season 43
The Bear - Season 2

Mr. Shife's Book Of The Month Club

What I learned today?

Portuguese is the most spoken language south of the Equator.
Até amanhã!

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

  1. I bought a bed like Lucy's for my new cat, Kitty. She attacked it as if it were a wild animal, clamped down her teeth and shook it to break its neck. I gave it to one of her cousins.

  2. We are 95 degrees with a heat index of 105 and 100% humidity; I'm living in a sauna!
During the pandemic I worked from home full-time and have slowly gone back to work AT the job, BUT I only work four days a week and that three day weekend is a joy that never ends.
I love Lucy's collar, but Ms. Frizzle's collar is stunning!

  3. In this heat, beware the dreaded swamp ass!

    1. be careful using talc for swamp ass - could end up with crotch croissants

    2. I definitely don't need swamp ass or crotch croissants. The taint needs to stay dry.

  4. What do you think of Silo? I LOVED those books! I'm constantly frustrated by wanting to watch stuff and then finding that I don't have that particular streaming service. Way too hot, Matt. We're currently sitting pretty at 72 degrees in Western Washington.

    1. It's on Apple TV and I recommend it but you read the books so you know where it is going so maybe it will not be that interesting to you.

  5. Be jealous, we barely make it into the 90s. Instead of heat we're getting deluges, torrential downpours in which the clouds go into pressure washer stage. Silo is simply great! Truly one of the most fascinating shows I've seen in a while.

  7. We have not gotten to 100 (the Lake Effect?) but it's been hot. Not as hot as the fourth of July, but moderately hot. Love the collars! And everybody is talking about The Bear. I may have to check it out.
Also, that dancing gentleman at the top? Yes, please!

    XOXO

    1. You have the humidity too and The Bear is based in Chicago so maybe you can be an extra for Season 3.

  8. Where did you go on vacation?? I really tried to get into the Righteous Gemstones, but just couldn't do it. I'm making my way through The Other Two now.

  9. Also recently back from vacation. It was so welcomed though I'm glad to be home. It is hot here too but fortunately not as hot as out west. That is okay by me. Let me know what you think of that app. As one of the last Netflix DVD by mail subscribers getting cancelled later this fall, I'm on the hunt for how to keep track of movies so that I don't let a good one slip through the cracks of the unseen.

  12. I am glad it is manageable less hot here.
