Hayden has a pretty boss move when she goes up to bat.
She asks the pitcher for a moment so she can get ready in the batter's box.

I don't know where she picked it up from but it makes me laugh every time she does it and I want to start using it in my life to see if it works.
If the alarm clock goes off in the morning and I am not quite prepared then it gets the hand.
If the stop light thinks about turning yellow and I can't handle another red light then it gets the hand.
If customer service wants to put me on hold again then they get the hand.
If the sales guy wants to upsell me on an extended warranty then they get the hand.
Is there anyone you know who needs the hand?

Happy Friday and I might talk to you tomorrow.

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

  8. I wish "the hand" worked in places other than the ball field. Like when my mother with dementia starts re-telling a story I've heard a thousand times - literally - in the last two years. I may be underestimating, actually. God, I hate this disease. My mental health is taking a beating.
