I proudly present some of my latest humor. 

  1. We picked up Kyle from his track meet. He was hanging out with a friend that we hadn't met before and his name was Ezra. As we were heading home, I asked Mrs. Shife if she thought Kyle had any friends that were better than Ezra? 

  2. Mrs. Shife, Hayden and I were chatting after breakfast when it was mentioned that my niece got a new hamster for her birthday. She got a new one because her dog killed the other one. The dog is named Jett and has also killed some chickens and a rabbit. I mentioned they were taking a big chance with another rodent since they live with Jett Bundy.
For the record, one of my attempts at hilarity was better received than the other. 
I have that feeling for some of you as well. 
I thought the band Better than Ezra was more popular. 
But Mrs. Shife had no idea who they were and barely recognized their music.
Tough crowd.

    I do know the band, but can’t name a song. I was sure your follow up joke was going to be about Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Maybe when Jett kills the next creature?

    I've never heard of Better than Ezra! I have heard of Ted Bundy, since he was from my state. Ugh.

    Many years ago, when copying CD's was a thing, I "borrowed" a friend's collection overnight to listen to them and so I may have a copy of Better Than Ezra's Closer somewhere in my collection to this day. I may have Misunderstood.

    Yeah. I didn't get better than Ezra til you explained into. It is a very courageous thing to boldly continue to throw out your best attempts st humor to an unappreciative crowd.

    Don't you hate it when a clever joke falls flat? It's not our fault if other people aren't well-informed enough to understand. lol

    Having said that, now I have to confess I never heard of Better than Ezra. Also lol
