I haven't given Ms. Frizzle a lot of blog love lately so I wanted to share this blast from the past that never got published. Based on the photo, our favorite lab was about 2-3 months old and was in the middle of teaching me and Mrs. Shife all about patience.

Ms. Frizzle eats everything.
Sometimes she's really into stuffed animals, socks, and shoes.
Then there are times when she only wants crayons, paper, and wood products.
Occasionally she'll throw in some coins, batteries, and household plants to make her diet super interesting. Here's the complete list of what our yellow lab puppy likes to eat:
  • Electrical cords
  • Space heater
  • Two remote controls
  • Several rolls of toilet paper
  • Stick of butter
  • Popsicle stick house
  • Floss sticks
  • Dominoes
  • My tears
  • Stuffed animals
  • Ski goggles
  • Shoes
  • Double-sided tape
  • A bag of leaves
  • Earrings
  • The last piece of pizza
  • A lint roller brush
  • Plastic cups
  • A bag of trash
  • Mrs. Shife's tears
  • Stuffed animals
Thanks for stopping by and I will talk to you tomorrow.

I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.

    1. Yes it has, Debra. She is occasionally naughty by trying to grab human food off the counter but that is about it.

  3. I wonder if all goldens do that? My son's dog Maggie adored him. She slept in the shower (we don't know why), but she had a very sneaky habit of taking my son's underwear from the floor where he dropped them and chewing them up in the shower. His wife loved that it made him pick up his dirty clothes.

    1. That is funny and a very interesting way for a dog to show affection towards the owner.

  4. Was this as a puppy or has it continued? If so, there would be lots of tears on my part too. And a lot of swearing!

    1. Nope. It was just a puppy phase, Margaret.

  5. I must be part yellow lab because I will eat just about anything too. Though I usually stick with items found in the normal food chain.

    1. Well I wouldn't be too worried, Ed, unless you start licking yourself and pooping outside.

  6. Double sided tape must be awfully chewy.

    1. I am just glad it didn't stick to anything when it came out, Bijoux.

  7. I will count myself lucky that I have never, as yet, had an animal that ate things they shouldn't. I did have an aunt who had a Dachshund that would shell walnuts, eat the inside and then leave the shells all over the ground.

    1. That is quite the dachshund, Bob.

  8. Aw, look at her all growed up! I hope she's gotten over all of that and they're nothing but memories :)

    1. She's a furry little angel, kden. The eating and chewing stopped after she turned 1.
