Day 9 of my September challenge.
How is your weekend looking?
The Shifleys have a pretty full agenda.
The Shifleys have a pretty full agenda.
- Today we have Kyle's cross-country meet, followed by softball for yours truly, and then I hope to figure out how Mrs. Shife and I can watch the latest episode of "Bad Sisters" before it's past our bedtime.
- Tomorrow I have a softball tournament that starts at 8 a.m., then Hayden has a softball game at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and then I have to find a "I'm terribly sorry that you were the lone softball parent and had to spend 4 hours watching 10-year-old girls play ball because I was at a softball tournament" card for Mrs. Shife. I am pretty sure they make one of those, right? Yes, it's called a wine-and-spa package at the local resort.
- On Sunday, we have to watch a lot of football before we head about an hour north to look at these little darlings and decide if one of them should come home with us.
Talk to you tomorrow.
I will persevere.
I will keep moving forward.
I will be the stream.
Oooooh puppies!

DeleteYour blog is more important then stuff to do!

DeleteGood point
DeleteThat's a LOT of softball. I like it as long as the weather is perfect--not too hot. A spa package would be great although for me it would need to come with beer. :) Oooh, a puppy?!
ReplyDeleteIt's a little chilly in the morning but not too shabby to play some ball.
DeleteWHAT? Another dog? I hope the Frizz is okay with that!
ReplyDeleteSadly,I never went to my daughter’s softball tournaments.I had two younger kids to deal with. I found out later that people thought my husband was a single parentš¤£
We hope so too
DeleteSounds like lots of ball... I am hoping the rain keeps me off the chain gang (actually, it's a highway clean day that I've volunteered for)
ReplyDeleteIt was a long day
DeleteNot a beagle! Just because LBJ liked them doesn't make them a good family dog. They may listen to one of you, are very headstrong, are very STRONG, are rough with little dogs.
ReplyDeleteIt's good your personal goals are coming along fine.
They are not beagles
DeleteBassett hounds? Nice.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan
DeleteAre those beagle babies I see? If so, be prepared for a lot of howling at nothing :D But they have the best ears in the world - soft as silk. If they are not beagles, please ignore this comment.
ReplyDeleteI just realized you've been posting every day and I'm way behind. Congratulations to Kyle for that run in 100F heat, Happy Anniversary whenever it may be, great shot of Ms. Frizzle jumping off the dock, both beard and goatee look great, and a few folks around these parts say warsh (and Chicargo) but they are few and far between. Whew, there, I'm mostly caught up :)
Baby bassets and thank you, jenny_o.
DeleteSounds like your life is busy, I remember that time when the kids were young and rushing around trying to support them in their various activities. Often needing to be in 2 places at the same time! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteExercise, make pancakes, take youngest to swimming lessons, blow grit out of beans and put them in glass jars and then make a quick trip down to the garden is on our agenda. Hopefully we beat the rain and if it isn't rained out, we can watch the big state football rivalry game going on this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteHope you were rooting for Iowa State.
DeleteAwww those puppies!!
ReplyDeleteThese are the ones.
DeleteAre those some of the rescued Beagles? Faith saw some at the Humane Society, they've been traveling all over!
ReplyDeleteNope. 100 percent bassets.
DeleteBusy, busy, busy! The puppies are so cute!
ReplyDeleteToo cute
