We had to register Kyle for junior high last week and it is hard to believe he will be a 7th-grader.
He is excited to begin the next step in his educational journey mostly because he gets his own locker and he gets to choose electives like art and technology.
He also found out one of his best buddies has a locker right next to him so that made him pretty happy.
Kyle and Hayden got their hair cut for the upcoming school year.
Hayden would be even happier if her hair stayed purple for longer but it is only temporary.
And Kyle would be even happier if I quit making him pose for pictures.
He has gone with a mullet/mohawk look or a mull-hawk.
Get better yellow dog
She tore up her paw pad and had a nail almost get completely torn off when she was at the lake recently.
Fortunately, they were able to fix her up.
Unfortunately, she has to keep her front paw heavily bandaged for a few days.
In an attempt to make me feel better, Hayden made sugar cookies, which are one of my favorite things.
Hayden was trying to enhance my spirits because our rabbit Snowball had just gone to the vet a few days earlier so I had the bank account blues.
Snowball had a nasty infection on his bunny butt and we have to apply cream to it for 10 days.
It has been interesting because Snowball is an outdoor bunny and doesn't like being captured especially when he knows he is going to get some medicine.
Every day, I will try and do better.
I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.
Is it bad that I laughed out loud at those pitch ideas? Your kids are so darn cute! And that cookie is professional looking!ReplyDelete
Those pitch ideas had me howling as well.Delete
Oh! My goodness! 7th grade!ReplyDelete
I like the purple hair :-)
Sorry for the vet bills.
You all take care!
If your lovely, purple haired daughter is baking you happy up sugar cookies, you better listen up.ReplyDelete
I am, Joanne.Delete
"I drink because you fake throw, Stephanie."ReplyDelete
Rolling, I am, rolling.
I may channel your kids and do a purple mull-hawk!!
Best wishes to the pets getting better.
Looking forward to seeing the new 'do, Bob.Delete
Ms. Frizzle looks so sad with her paw bandaged up! I hope she and Snowball improve quickly!ReplyDelete
Starting Jr. High is such a big step. I'm sure Kyle will do well and love it. Kyle and Hayden both look so cute with their school hair cuts. Hayden will be a hit with the beautiful purple hair!
Thank you, Bonnie.Delete
When I think of the pet ER I think of $$$$$$$$$$$$.ReplyDelete
You have good instincts.Delete
Please tell me mullets aren't making a come back? They should go the way of bell bottoms and bibs with only one strap attached and just fade away into obscurity.ReplyDelete
I can tell that they aren't but then I would be lying to you. Sorry, Ed.Delete
Poor Ms. Frizzle looks sad. Love the haircuts and cookies. The purple hair is awesom and you can tell Hayden we think so!ReplyDelete
You meme's slayed me!
I will let her know. Thank you.Delete
Doggie pads/nails bleed so much, always look worse than they are. And bunny butts? oh my you have had a week! Love the haircuts and adorable cookie, they would make me feel better :)ReplyDelete
The cookies did help.Delete
Poor Doggie! That sounds painful. The flossing one was so true. I tell my dental hygienist that when I go every six months. That's when I get my flossing done, as I make clear to them. My grandfather was a dentist and nagged me all the time about flossing. Yet they tell me that my teeth and gums look great. Can't have it both ways. :)ReplyDelete
I can only floss with the sticks. I am a lost cause with the string.Delete
My grandson just started 3rd grade. The kids are glad to be back with their friends, even if they have to go to school to see them.ReplyDelete
Poor pup, hope he heals fast.
Bunny butt troubles. Aww We had a bunny for about a week but we had to find a home for him because my daughter was terribly allergic.
My wife is allergic to the bunnies as well and that is why they are outdoor rabbits but that is one of the reasons why he has so many butt troubles.Delete
Poor Mrs. Frizzle. How do you stop her from gnawing at her bandage? Did that dog cookie go to comfort Mrs. Frizzle in her hour of need?ReplyDelete
She was on some pretty serious drugs, Debby, so she was out of it for the few days she had to wear it. The cookie did help her.Delete
Love her hair! Please tell Hayden that it's the perfect ratio natural/color and that it's better that it goes away because the pastel tone that is left is super pretty.ReplyDelete
I have to confess that I am currently sporting a kind of Mohawk, so I'm either ready for seventh grade or your son has awesome taste.
Loved the memes! Hope the pets get better!
I will let her know, Sixpence, and thank you. I am sure your 'hawk looks awesome.Delete
I love the purple hair on Hayden - and it's good that boys as well as girls can have cool haircuts. You had a bad week pet-vet-wise, didn't you? It's never cheap when that happens. I hope everyone is on the mend very soon. Your memes made me laugh - thanks, Mr. S :)ReplyDelete
We are mending, jenny_o. Thank you.Delete
oh I love their haircuts...sorry about the doggie..is he named after me???hahahReplyDelete
He is a she, Jackiesue.Delete
