Beach Bums

The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the imagination
and brings eternal joy to the soul. - Robert Wyland

I couldn't agree more, Bob.
I hope he doesn't mind if I call him Bob.
Anyhoo, you might have noticed that I didn't update the blog last week.
The Shifleys were on vacation.
We celebrated the end of the school year by hitting the road and heading to California.
And it was good.
Did you see the smiles on Kyle's and Hayden's face?
We went to a little place called Fort Bragg, CA.
Spent a lot of time on the beach.
And it was pretty, pretty good.
I feel like we all got rejuvenated and are ready for the rest of 2021.
More details later but I just wanted to say hi and share some of our memories.
Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by.
Take care.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. Those are great pictures, looks like great weather! I would rather go to the beach than anywhere else in the world; we have to wait until the end of Sept.

  3. It looks like fun, but a little chilly? Nothing like a California beach! I’m glad you went to a redwood forest. Don’t they smell amazing?

  9. Your family looks like they enjoyed themselves. I was on the beach last week, but in North Carolina, so the weather and topography are so different. I love the California beaches and I have travelled a couple of times in the past the trip from Boise to Reno--that's some lovely country in eastern Oregon and northern Nevada.

  11. Us middle of the country people are always envious of those who live within a day's drive of the ocean.

P.S. Been hearing a lot about the Boise real estate market in the news.
