Mr. Shife's February Frenzy Day 23

  • It lives. It turns out the fridge was only mostly dead. Miracle Max aka the appliance repairman was able to work his magic and bring it back to life. And thank the fat bassets that it definitely didn't cost nearly as much as a new fridge.

  • I am now a human firewall. It feels like something that requires an ointment. I had to watch some mandatory training videos about how not to fall victim to cyber attacks and they really drove home the point that it is up to me... the human firewall to keep my organization safe. I feel so special.
  • Mr. Shife's favorite new memes:

I will try and do better tomorrow.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. Those training videos are unrelenting agony. I skip through them as much as possible and answer the questions. They're mostly common sense...mostly. Glad the fridge is on the mend. I've had to go through that and it's not fun.

  2. Furious George is pretty funny! I’m so glad your fridge was fixed! I was going to suggest a college mini fridge if worse came to worse. We had to do that once.

  3. I'm glad the fridge was savable. Last night I started to tell you what a pain in the ass it is to get a new one these days, but hoped for the best for you instead of stressing you out more. Go Miracle Max! I love the memes, especially Furious George :)

  10. With an appliance it's always repair cost vs get a new one. I've always had good luck with fridges. I get 20 plus years easy out of them.

Love the Zoom meeting. SO true.

  13. Yay for the fridge repair! I will definitely try that first when my 25 year old Kenmore craps out. I laughed very hard about the zoom. I needed that this morning.

  14. I hate it when an appliance has a major nervous breakdown. I'm glad yours saw the right therapist and has resumed its happy, functioning life.
