Mr. Shife's February Frenzy Day 11

Wal-Mart or Target?
What's your pick?
Mine is pretty easy because the Wal-Mart nearest to us has a tractor beam that pulls in every weirdo with a beardo, asshole who ate too much casserole, moron who thinks daily grooming is something that you shouldn't dwell on, whacko with placqo, and nincompoop whose IQ rivals chicken soup.
So not a fan of our local Wally World.
I know there are nice and clean Wal-Marts out there - we even have a few in nearby towns - but unfortunately the one that makes the most sense to me gas mileage wise needs to have eye-wash stations so I can erase the horrors that I have seen.
This preamble is leading up the video that I want to share with you as a comedian breaks down the people that shop at Target versus the people that shop at Wal-Mart.
I found it rather entertaining and I hope you do too.

I will try and do better tomorrow.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. Love the video, but I think he was being kind in his interpretation of Wal Mart! Yes, I shop at Target. I hope you enjoy your long weekend!

  2. Luckily the walmarts around me aren't like the ones that make the news. Not that I go to them very often.

  3. Unfortunately, both are necessary evils if you shop on a tight budget. Great video, by the way!

  4. When I'm in the States I shop in both but I have to admit Wal-Mart is cheaper and I'm a tight arse.

    1. And that is what drags me back into our local Wal-Mart and I hate myself for it.

  5. Prefer Target but now the nearest one is 80 miles away. We have a Walmart but I have boycotted Walmart for over 25 years now. So I get what I can in the non grocery aisles of the grocery store and the rest gets sourced online. Occasionally when we are 80 miles away getting our sushi fix, we stop in at Target and stock up.

    I'm sure you've visited this site. Hasn't everyone? https://www.peopleofwalmart.com/

    1. A boycott seems like a great idea, Ed. I am definitely familiar with POW.

  6. We have a Walmart in an area called Steelyard Commons that many have dubbed The Worst Walmart in America. I’m too scared to go see if it’s true.

  8. There have been instances where I have HAD to Walmart it, but it never fails that have to utter the phrase: "Can I see a manager?"
    So, yeah, Target.

  10. When our insurance would only allow
Walmart I used to enter, and exit thru
    the garden section.
    xoxo :-)

  11. 100% Target. I never go to the local Walmart. It's a depressing place.

  12. The last time at walmart predated the turn of the century. I bought a pack of my favorite sox and a pack of my favorite underware. When I got home I discovered each pack had been opened and one pair shoplifted. I figured someone needed them worse than I did, and they also needed walmart worse than I did. Haven't been back since. I've never been to target, though we have one close. In fact, several of each are close.

  13. I don't know of a Walmart near me. I went to one once when visiting Nashville. -place was HUGE. Target stores are sprinkled throughout this area. I have been shopping there, but don't go out of my way for it.
