RAOS 2020

Acronyms Are Fun
RAOS or Random Acts of Shifeness because I like to mix it up, and, once again, not to be confused with ROUS, which are Rodents of Unusual Size from the masterpiece that is known as The Princess Bride.

Best Princess Movie?
I think so. This website not so much. They have the Princess Bride at #20. What is your go-to movie about a female member of a royal family?

Working From Home
We were told to not expect to come back to the office until May. If that is indeed the case, then it will be 14 months of working remotely.

If The Boat Is Rocking

Winter Blues
I think the distraction of the election last week helped me not focus on the fact that winter is here and so are my blahs. The time change, lack of sunshine, snow and cold temperatures can put yours truly in a funk. Last year, I increased my vitamin D dosage and I think I need to start doing that immediately.

There's A New Log In Town

Dark Humor

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a good rest of your week.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. Sad confession. I have no favorite princess movie. *hangs head*

  2. Great meme. 'I'm still choosing'... maybe that one over there...

  3. Princess Bride, because it had wit and sarcasm and not a lot of sappiness.

Fourteen months is craziness. We've been back, off and on, remotely, or at work, for few months now, though it doesn't appear it'll be full-on on-the-job-at-the-job for months more.

    Good on God!

I was all messed up Tuesday with the lection and DST and the election. Yeah, twice.

    Smells like chicken???

Love the meme, because I love dark humor ... the darker the better sometimes.

  4. Princess Bride, first and foremost, the number one best about anything. If you will be working from home that long, I foresee Princess Bride coffee breaks.

  5. You are sure right about the time change, dark days and cold weather putting people in a funk! It all makes the pandemic seem even worse as if that was possible. I love your funnies! You take care and I hope the vitamin D helps!

  6. Ohhh my go-to movie about a Royal? The Queen with Hellen Mirren playing Elizabeth.
And I love The Princess Bride. It's one of the most quotable movies ever. And I'm also staying home for Spring. Next time I try on a real pair of pants, I won't fit in them. LMAOOO It serves me well for liking skinny jeans so much.

    XOXO

P.S. I'm a tropical fruit, so winter is hell for me, too.

  7. Wow on being told May for a return to the office. My husband returned this past May! It’s limited staff, though. They are now saying January for next level, but you know that won’t be happening! I’m truly dreading the cold weather as well.

    1. As long as the sun is out, I think I will be OK but we sometimes get an inversion that can last for several weeks.

  8. Omg...literally laughed out loud with the "I'm still choosing". I don't really have a princess go to movie. I would say "Beauty and the Beast" would be my go to, however it's a favorite. I don't purposely watch it over and over again, but when given the chance I will watch the stage production. I have the DVD, but it's still in a wrapper. And I haven't watched the movie version with Dan Stevens (who is in my favorite show about royalty--Downton Abby) yet.
We are not slated to go back until spring, in which case it will be about 13 months of working from home.
I wonder if that log smells like the 11 herbs and spices chicken. I crave it sometimes, but my partner says that all fried chicken give him a stomach ache. I've never seen him eat KFC, but he does like a Kroger fried chicken--and bone in, not boneless. He doesn't like chicken fingers.
I'm still giggling about the Dark Humor meme.

    1. Glad I gave you some chuckles, JM. I haven't had KFC in years as we usually get the store made fried chicken as well.

  12. Being a male, I guess my answer is none of them. Being a father with two daughters, my answer is the latest one of course!

"I'm still choosing" I'm going to be laughing at that off and on for the rest of the day.

  13. How the heck did Barbie outrank the Princess Bride ?!!! How the heck did they have so many Barbie movies on this freakin' list?! Oh well. The Princess Bride is my number one with Enchanted coming in as a close second.

  16. I can't recall ever seeing the Princess Bride. But I can hardly recall yesterday so that's OK. Very dreary here too and the election left us scared, elated, and now pissed that the big orange ogre won't leave. Sounds like home is safest for all of us.
