I have a sense of humor.
Mrs. Shife has a sense of humor.
And it's safe to say that Kyle and Hayden are funny.
Of course, I am extremely biased but I will let you determine for yourself.
Here's a recent text message that Kyle sent to his buddy.
He borrowed Mrs. Shife's phone and sent it to his friend's mom.
Then, while we were on a hike at some sand dunes this past weekend, Hayden did a massive belly flop that knocked the wind out of her.
I asked if she was alright.
She said, "Yes, but my grandkids are going to feel that one."
I laughed and followed the advice of the Penguins of Madagascar.
I don't know who I was waving to but I was waving in the middle of the desert.
But I was also smiling.
My kids make me smile.
A lot.
I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

Never underestimate the power of a good sense of humor! Great kids there! I love the picture of them with their feet all over each other under the table. It took me right back to when my two boys were young. Maybe someday you can do a post about those cool bobble heads on your mantle???? ; )

Yes our kids do make us smile. A good sense of humour is essential, especially at the moment.

Mostly just the wife, Jeff. My daughter is still too young to get all of my bad dad jokes and it appears that my son has a sense of humor just like me so he thinks I am hilarious.
