Corona Persona

I started working from home on March 13, which was appropriately enough a Friday.
Today is May 6.
Almost 8 weeks for those of you not wanting to do the math.
As the hours have turned into days and the days have turned into weeks, I've let myself go a little bit.

Not as bad as White Goodman in "DodgeBall."
But we all have our demons.
So what's going on?
First, I am morphing into a high school gym coach.

Look how proud I am of myself of wearing nothing but gym shorts and a hooded sweatshirt.
I have worn black gym shorts and a hoodie every day since the lockdown.
Again, 8 weeks for those of you not wanting to do the math.
56 days.
But not consecutively.
That would be disgusting.
I do have multiple black gym shorts and hoodies.
Speaking of gross.
Here's the other "awesome" habit I have picked up during these crazy times.
Brushing my teeth whenever I feel it.
Today was almost 6 p.m.
The average has been about noon.
I am winning.

In all seriousness though, I have been able to work out from home and I haven't picked up too many bad eating habits.
I did have my moments like eating Red Vines for a week like they were going extinct but all is well.
How are you doing?

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. Same.
We also stopped going to the office in mid-March and it looks like it's going to be a minute until we go back.
I have not gotten into red vines but my eating habits have gone to pot. Not smoking it, which would be awesome, but I am not eating as healthy as I did. Who knew there were so many temptations hanging around the pantry?
I do have a routine, though. And I try to follow it. If I were not walking/running almost every day, i would have gained 600 lbs already.

    XOXO

  2. Staying at home because of the pandemic is so much different than staying at home because you're retired and are doing it by choice. I'm still brushing my teeth twice a day but I'm not getting dressed until noon and my 'uniform' of choice are sweatpants and a sweatshirt.

  3. They opened up golf courses under
certain conditions. J and a friend
went, in a really strong wind storm...
    take care! xoxo :-)

  4. I too have worn black gym shorts every day I've been here, but it's a t-shirt here in Florida. It's in the 60's for a temperature today and everyone thinks it's cold. My snacking is a problem, but I'm trying to be good.

  5. I think we all have a "home uniform" but the coronavirus has made that already casual uniform even more casual!

  6. I've out weight on. Damn. Serves me right for stock piling at the beginning. I've had no self control. Good thing my shorts have elasticated waists. :D

  7. Eight weeks! Gawd have mercy.
I still make my bed every morning, attend first to personal hygiene, then to my cat's needs, then to my breakfast. I love breakfast. Then I face the day. Let me tell you how I despise this Corona virus and my isolation. It frequently colors my day, lately.

  8. I've always had a home uniform. It consists of tee shirts with tiny little stains on them, sweat pants or gym shorts...sometimes I break it up with leggings, haha. When I'm at home I want to be comfy, so that if a nap taking opportunity comes along, I'm prepared. :-)

I have stayed about the same weight, but I'm supposed to be losing weight. So, not gaining, but not losing. Ugh

  10. The Man has been eating Red Vines like they might quit making them too... must be a Guy Thing? *LOL* Yeah, I've let myself go too... but not quite as horribly as that First Video, which was a Great Blog Post Thumbnail 'Hook' lemme tell ya... but then again, I'm still raising a Teen Grandchild and she'd be mortified if she found me in the kitchen like that! *LMAO* My 'uniform' is my Daytime Pajamas during the Day and my Nighttime Pajamas come Evening, if I'm not too lazy to do the swap that Day. Sometimes I even get dressed in Real Clothes if I have to make a Death Run for Supplies and get Suited Up in Pandemic Ensemble... I'm starting to Collect Pandemic Accessories like Fashionable Face Masks... that's about as Fancy as it gets.

  11. I'm still going in to my office, but the office is closed and I'm blessed to have a large office with my own bathroom, so it's no problem. I ride my bike (unless it is raining) and wear shorts and a dress shirt (sO I can appear somewhat professional looking on the computer camera. I figure that every other day, I'm save a gallon of gas which probably is doing my part to increase the problem of too much gas in the market.

  12. I only worked a few afternoons at one of our district schools, so have been home since mid-March. The weight I started gaining when I broke my ankle last year (spent a lot of time in the recliner) is all back now plus some. I need to do better!
