T-Minus 1 Day

The 2010s
My 40s.
Some more good times in those years.
I became a dad again, started my professional career again after being a stay-at-home dad for almost 6 years, wrote a book, fell in love with a basset hound named Tank, fell in love with a yellow lab named Ms. Frizzle, visited some amazing places and celebrated another wonderful decade with the love of my life.
Here's photographic evidence:

Me and my three favorite people in the world.

Thanksgiving at the Dogs' Mother wonderful abode.

Enjoying some family time at Zion National Park. I can't wait to go back someday.

Family time at St. George, Utah.

Showing off my book to family and friends. A very proud moment.

Ms. Frizzle teaching me the art of napping.

As you can see, she taught me well.

Me and Hayden Belle after her first day in kindergarten.

Me and hot stuff hanging out in Monterrey, California.
Another place that we hope to visit again someday soon.

Tomorrow I will be 50.
And I  hope to do better.
Stay safe, take care, and thanks for being there.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  6. Love this post so hard. Happy Bday in advance! I don't really blog over the weekend, so....
I think writing a book is such an achievement. I've only written (seriously) because they made me. And a degree was at stake.
The kids are adorbs. You already know what I think about your better half.
    XOXO

  13. Love all the photos you shared over the last three posts, Mr. S. - you and your sweetie have aged magnificently - neither of you look a day over 30. And like another commenter said, your kids look so much like you two. Thanks for sharing your happy memories with us :)
