March Madness 2019 - Idahome

Thanks for a little patience with me the past few days.
Work has been a little crazy.
My boss let me know go home early today after I spent 2.5 hours on the phone with Google trying to fix a problem that still isn't fixed and has been escalated up the food chain until Monday.
Fun.
I took a 90-minute nap where I did get home.
I needed it.
Definitely felt fried this week.
But if this is the worse it gets at work then I can live with that.
I am pretty content with my employment and life in general.
Speaking of that, are you happy where you live?
I have lived in Idaho basically since 1985.
That's like almost 35 years.
It's definitely home.
I have thought about different places I might want to live but I think Idaho is it.
I am becoming less and less a fan of winter but not enough where I want to move somewhere else.
Yet.
You never know where life is going to take you but right now Idaho is where the heart is.

Thanks for stopping by. I will talk to you tomorrow.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. I live where I am from, but I don't feel content here much anymore. Multiple factors play into my discontent, but two biggies come to mind: poor public transport & extortionate housing costs.

As a weather wimp, I wonder where I could go that offers a 'no snow' Winter.

  2. I wouldn't feel too bad about the last few days. As one who has to deal with my department's website, I completely understand. I don't have to deal with Google though. The nap is a nice touch to the day though.

  3. This winter it has not even been
    close to regular SE WA.
    Otoh, winter in northern coastal
    Canada, with mountains so close
and high, meant the sunlight never
hit the townsite for the months of
    winter.

  4. I'm happy where I am (which is only a few miles from where I grew up). Our winters aren't too cold (mind you, "too cold" is a relative thing), our summers are short and therefore the heat is bearable (just), and the ocean is never far away. We have no earthquakes or tornadoes or big natural disasters (knock on wood for the future) and the scenery is beautiful. Plus most of our closest family is here. Look at me, a walking ad for Nova Scotia! lol Where did you grow up, Mr. S?

  5. Thanks for your reply on my blog, Mr. S. I'm glad you like where you ended up.

  6. I only am in Spokane because I went to college here, that was 42 years ago. I have always wanted to live by the ocean, Oregon in particular but I think the dark rainy days would get to me.

  7. I live a short distance from where I lived as a child. Not sure if I'd like it anywhere else. I don't envy you the two hours spent talking to Google, but I admire you for doing it and understanding it

  8. I like reading your tidbits about work. I'm long retired from supervising a department of people, back in the day computers were born. I see work does not change. Carry on, young man!
