Mr. Shife's March Madness 2016 - Day 4

I had to take Kyle Bunga to his school's book fair last night.
After a long day at work, I wasn't exactly looking forward to spending 90 minutes with a lot people I would prefer not to spend 30 seconds with.
Aren't I nice?
Turns out it was a pretty good night.
The little dude was too busy with all of the book fair activities to mind me, but I enjoyed watching Kyle do his thing and hear how highly all of his teachers thought of the big guy.
The highlight for me was seeing how one of his classmates was quite smitten with him, and seeing Kyle blush whenever I said her name.
As usual, when my expectations are low, the event turns out to be fun.
It turns out that is not a bad way to live.

Here's Kyle reading to Dooby, a 220-pound Great Dane.

And here's Kyle and his friend posing with the Dr. Seuss crew.

Thanks for stopping by. Talk to you tomorrow.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. Tar would have to wash Kyle's face and anyone within reach.

  2. I think the secret to happiness is always having low expectations. Glad this turned out so enjoyable for you. Our son is now 35 and I miss all those events I used to whine about.

  3. We've tried to encourage Colin's interest in books, so we've been to a few book fairs. They did the Dr Seuss thing this week too.

  4. Faith's book fairs were never that fun. Dogs too? Yes we have had some warmer weather, it hit 62 yesterday and two days before it rained allllllll day. We should have plenty of water this summer.

  5. Missed this yesterday... is Kyle still blushing when a certain person passes by?

  6. I'm not sure how he reacts when he sees her at school, but when I mention her name at home Kyle gets a big smile on his face.
