I've Been Better

That definition of crestfallen or any of those synonyms pretty much sums up my emotions since Wednesday afternoon.
I don't want to get into too many details at this moment because the situation is still fluid, but it's a high possibility that we will have to find Tank a new home.
It's breaking my heart because I've grown quite fond of the fat basset.
I apologize for being so vague but we need to take care of a few things before I want to share everything that's going on with Tank Tank.
We need to talk to the vet to rule out any medical problems, then we need to get an assessment from a dog trainer.
After that, Mrs. Shife and I will try to figure out what makes sense for Tank and the Shifleys.
I'm fighting for him like crazy and I'm not giving up on him, but sometimes that's not enough.
I'll let you know how things go next week.
Take care, thanks for stopping by and talk to you soon.

One of my favorite pictures of Tanklin.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. I hope it all works out for you Shife. I know you love the Fat Basset.

  2. OMG what on earth has gone wrong with the poor guy. I feel for you over this. whatever it is.

  3. I'm really sorry to hear it. Hope it works out for the best.

  4. That's a tough one. Parting with your best friend is the hardest thing in the world. My heart goes out to you.

  5. I can understand the emotion when you were reading my post now. My heart would break to have to give up a bundle of fur. Wishing you ALL the best.

  6. Geez, that doesn't sound good. I train difficult dogs as a hobby, and I do come across where there's a situation where the owners have to find a new home for their beloved doggie.

    Hope it works out.

  7. Oh hell to the no....I don't even have the words for what you must be feeling. I had to give up a dog once. Just once. I feel for ya. I hope it's not what happens though. Take a deep breath and ..... yea....just breathe. Hugs.
