Shifetober 2nd

So do you know what happened on Jan. 25? Well in 1840 an American naval expedition under Charles Wilkes became the first to identify Antarctica as a new continent, in 1924 the 1st Winter Olympic games opened in Chamonix, France, in 1945 Grand Rapids, Michigan become the 1st US city to fluoridate its water, in 1964 the Beatles had their 1st US #1, "I Want to Hold your Hand", in 1998 Spice Girl Victoria Adams (Posh) and soccer player David Beckham got engaged, and in 2005 Confessions Of A Dumb, White Guy launched.
I’m almost embarrassed to share my first-ever blog post but this is coming from a guy who shares stuff like sharting my pants. Yep that’s in the book. So the first post was about dog unemployment rate and the link is right here, http://www.mrshife.com/2005/01/dog-unemployment-rate.html
Originally I was just going to write about my adventures with my basset hound Quincy. It turns out a middle-aged basset hound isn’t that adventurous and thus my blog morphed into other stuff like writing about sharting my pants.
Enjoy your Thursday, thank you for your support, and if you haven’t entered my contest to win an autographed copy of my book with a very, very special bookmark then do it. The details are on the Shifetober 1st post.

P.S. Some of you are friends with me on FB so I know there are worlds colliding and the updates are the same so I apologize for that but I'm only a man not a machine. Thank you for understanding.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. 2005? Wow! I look way back sometimes and most of the readers I had back then, I don't have now. I often wonder where they went.

  2. So I've been here almost since the beginning. I can't remember the exact date of my first blog post, but it was sometime around May 2002. The content was probably kinda dumb.
