I would like to thank all of you who took the time to stop by this month to say hello. I really appreciate it and I am especially grateful to be sharing my life with such wonderful people. It was fun celebrating Shifley March Madness. Take care and I will be back blogging soon. I need a little break.=)
Dear Kyle,
I used to think 6 in the morning was early,
then I became your Dad.
I used to think I understood responsibility,
then I became your Dad.
I used to think going to be at 9 at night was a horrible idea,
then I became your Dad.
I used to think the world was not too scary,
then I became your Dad.
I used to think I would never talk about poop so much,
then I became your Dad.
I used to think I have been frustrated,
then I became your Dad.
I used to think I understood patience,
then I become your Dad.
I used to think my life was full,
then I met you on March 31.
Happy birthday Kyle.
I love you to the moon and back, and I am so glad that I am your Dad.
You are one of my very favorite things.
I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

ReplyDeleteWay to go Shife. Way to go. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad that you all have this fine boy and that he has you.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Kyle!
I have learned with at 21, 19 and 16 year old that there is nothing better than learning from these people. Free unsolicited advice: Love every minute you can because whether you do or not, they grow up and move out...whether you are ready or not, they grow up and move out! Keep the sweetness of little ones coming...
ReplyDeleteLove,
Terry
