Hello there

How's it going? Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I sure did, and in case you are wondering I did indeed eat until I passed out. Or maybe I drank too much. It doesn't matter at this point. I had a good time and as far as I can remember I was in complete control of my bodily fluids. What a great segue to talk about my wonderful daughter. I really should work for a greeting card company. Well we also celebrated Hayden's birthday since it was the day before Thanksgiving. She is now 1. Can you believe it? I can't but time keeps moving forward and all I can do is enjoy each day with my beautiful babies. Well here she is from 1-week-old to 52-weeks-old in just over 2 minutes. It is short and sweet just like her. Enjoy, and have yourself a wonderful weekend.

My favorite quote of the week: You don't need religion to have morals. If you can't determine right from wrong then you lack empathy, not religion. - Unknown or Mr. Shife if you dare.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. You've been gone too long. Glad to hear you got over your hangover; turkey or otherwise. Great video and tribute to a beauty.

  2. What a super video. It was lovely to go back and watch Hayden 'grow'. She's got the cutest winning smile. No I can't believe she's a year old. Where the heck does time disappear to? It only seems five minutes since you were counting the days.

Glad you enjoyed Thanksgiving in such a happy way!!

  4. I should not believe it's been a year but somehow I do. The days are whizzing past us and should be arrested for relieving themselves in public. Wait. We're talking about time flying by not public disturbances.whispers ::caffeine::loudly to self And I'm back.

Glad to see Tank make a cameo and Kyle being a good big brother to sweet Hayden. I hope you and the Mrs. are ready for Christmas(that kinda rhymes). Toys R Us is working the sales big time but then WalMart always beats 'em price-wise.

Your kids will always know that their father loves them more than anything in this world. I hope you are making this blog into a series of books. One day you may decide to stop posting here or get too busy to do so. When that day comes it might be nice for Kyle and Hayden to enjoy hardback series of posts from their father. That's keepsake/heirloom worthy in my book.

  6. Glad to hear your Thanksgiving was great. Happy Birthday to Hayden. It is hard to believe she's ONE. Dang! There' a line in a song (can't remember who sang it) that conveys what it's like to watch your kids grow so quickly:

So tell me how to stop the years from racing.
Is there a secret someone knows?
I'll never catch all the memories I'm chasing.
I'll never be ready to let go.

  8. That's really cool. I wish I had done something like that with Colin, but we didn't get a camcorder until he was about 1. She'll really like that when she's older.
