March Madness - Day 3

About a month ago a friend on Facebook invited me to a group where the goal was to create daily habits that would lead to positive and permanent change. Each day you were supposed to share 3 gratitudes, a daily positive experience, and a random act of kindness. I decided to give it a try on February 8, and I am still going strong. At first it was difficult coming up with all that stuff but after a few days, I found myself actively looking for reasons to be grateful and ways I can send positiveness into the world with my acts of kindness. I don't think by any stretch of the imagination I am going to need plastic surgery to remove the grin from my face, but I do feel myself feeling better and looking at the world differently. I hope to be still be doing the daily habits thing a month from now and eventually I would like it to be a part of my existence just like breathing. So here is a sample in case you are curious:

1) Re-connecting with my little brother on the phone. It has been awhile since we talked and it was nice to catch up with him.
2) Being a hero to my 2-year-old. He was playing in a box, and he saw a tiny spider which got him pretty scared. So Da-Da took care of it and my little man was eternally grateful.
3) Holding my little baby girl on the couch while she fell asleep.

My positiveness of the day: Those who believe something can't be done shouldn't interfere with those who are doing it. ~ Carter Heyward.
And my random act of kindness was trying to help some people find their dog while I was on a walk with my dog.

Well that is all for today. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday, and thank you for stopping by.

It has been awhile so I thought it would be nice if I featured the Tankster. As you can see he is pretty excited about it.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. Oh that Tank! =:D

What a great idea. So are those the rules? I can see where that would have a positive affect on your day to day living. Very cool.

Speaking of very cool... I love the new design here!

  2. That's not really a bad idea. I may even give it a try. It's so easy to let the little things nag you to the point where you almost forget all of the great things you have.

  3. I think that's cool what you're doing. You seem positive to me already.
Yeah, I can tell Tank can hardly contain himself.

  5. I found a site similar, called 29 days of giving, and I'm doing something like it on another blog of mine. It's nice to see positive things going on in the world, unfortunately we have to dig deeper to find it. Congrats for sticking with it ;-)
