March Madness - Day 19

Guess what? I am going to talk about my kids again.
Sorry but I don't think you want to hear about how I didn't shower today or I didn't brush my teeth until 2:30 pm or I have worn the same sweat pants 3 days in a row. Yes if you must know being this sexy is a curse but we all have our crosses to bear.

I was adding some entries in my journal, and I ran across a date in Shifley family history that I wanted to share with everyone that is still reading.

"We are down to our final two weeks and I am starting to get a little excited that a little one will be joining us soon. Actually feeling all sorts of emotions because I have so many questions, fears, hopes, and all kinds of stuff running through my mind. I just hope I can look back at this entry and say to myself that I am a pretty good Dad and Sarah and I have an awesome kid that we love dearly."

I wrote that 15 days before I met the little man in 2009, and I most certainly think that I love Kyle more than I could have ever imagined. Being his Dad completes me.

Thank you for stopping by.

My little left-handed slugger getting ready to hit the ball.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  1. Two of the people I love most in the world are lefties.

I think, from what I read here that your wish has come true. Your happiness at being a dad is very evident. I see lots of love here too.

  2. I know exactly how you feel. You find yourself wondering how you ever did anything without them.

  3. I kept a journal for a few years beginning when I found out I was pregnant. Then hubby and I went through some hard business/financial times and my heart just wasn't in it, but wish I had continued. They're fun to look back at.

  4. Reading past entries in your journal must be therapeutic. Now you know that there was no need for fears, just hopes which came true.

  5. He's such a cutie!

Sometimes I feel like I never didn't have my kids. Does that make sense? Like I can't even remember what it was like without them around. Sometimes it is interesting to look back at old journals and see what kinds of things I wrote before they were born.

  7. Hey! It's been awhile since I've taken a stroll through the blogosphere. I noticed the linkback on the blogroll. Thanks! Hope the kiddos are doing great (I'm sure they are). It's been fun reading the Chronicles of Kyle. Hayden is another favorite ;-)

Stay healthy and content my friend!
