7 Days and Counting

The signs are everywhere, you just have to open your eyes.
It dawned on me that Kyle has been fascinated with the color pink lately, and then it dawned on me that maybe that is his way of letting us know we are having a little sister for the big guy. Mrs. Shife and I ask him all the time if we are having a girl or a boy, and he doesn't provide much of an answer. Maybe he has been telling us along but we just have not heard him. Anyway that is my deep, intellectual thought for this Sunday, which is 1 week away from the due date. Enjoy your week.

I will persevere. I will keep moving forward. I will be the stream.

  7. When I was pregnant the second time and asked my daughter what she thought I was having she said "a boy and a girl". I kept explaining to her that it could only be either a boy OR a girl, not both. She insisted that it was a boy and a girl. I went for my first ultrasound and guess what? I was pregnant with twins. Kids know.

  8. Oh boy (or girl)...here comes baby.

True story: my oldest was maybe 3, and woke up asking when his baby sister was coming. He said an angel told him. We laughed about it and that was it.

Little did we know she actually had conceived just before that day, and we indeed did have a girl.
