30 Days and Counting

Ahhh parenting. Sometimes it is the best job in the world but other days it seems like you are trying to nail Jello-O to a tree. I know there is always alot to be thankful for if you take the time to look. For example, I'm sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt. So where are the Shifleys today? Just trying to come up with a name. We are pretty set on a boy name, but a girl name is becoming elusive. Enjoy the rest of your day. And I should take a cue from darling little boy by remembering to take the time to smell the flowers.

  1. Maybe you could take some inspiration from the flowers for a girls name, Rose, Lily or Daisy are really pretty names :O)

  2. It was always hard for us to pick names that we agreed on for our babies. I only had the one daughter, Bear (Claire) but I had lots of girls name ideas for my three boys that didn't pan out. Libby, Abby, Olivia and Em. Some of my students had great names too. Mykan, Irish, Lindsey and Kellen had great names.
But what about choosing one of your mom's names? Or would that be upsetting to Mrs. Shife's mom?

  3. If it is a girl, how about naming her after both grandmothers? Quite often the older names are best. I see cutie boy likes flowers... it's a lovely picture.
