- My family of course, and not just this week but every week.
- My friends. Thank you everyone for your kind words and support over my friend.
- Discovering new things like comedian Kevin Hart, music from Seether and Bleu Edmonson, and the TV show "An Idiot Abroad."
- Listening to Mrs. Shife laugh.
- Crazy people. Watching a man drink his coffee and have a very animated conversation with a fake plant at the mall about how the government lies is not a bad way to pass some time.
- Playing soccer again. It has been more than 10 years since I last suited up but I am glad to be playing indoors with some friends.
- Spending time with my son because he makes me giggle. For example, he learned what his "pee pee" was and I can just imagine during his class this week when the teacher asks him what his favorite body part is he will point to his "pee pee."
- Clean underwear. Trust me this is one of those stories where you want to know as little as possible.
- Running with a dog. Never in a million years did I think I could run with a basset hound but Tank must have a little sled dog in him. I take the furball out twice a week for 3-4 miles and he does just fine. I am scared to go longer because it is just weird running with a basset and I don't want to hurt him.
- Naps. I am going to shed many tears when Kyle decides he finds them no longer useful.
Have a great weekend, enjoy the Super Bowl, and give away what you want to receive.
Sounds like your priorities are pretty darn sound.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture of a beautiful family.
I think we should all write down 10 things that we love everyday...It helps us focus on the joys in life!!! Thanks for reminding me!
ReplyDeleteI love Kevin Hart. Introduced the girl to him via Netflix and she thinks he's hysterical too. He's coming to down soon and I'm debating if I want to splurge on tix.
ReplyDeleteWho ya got in the big game?
@ Ms. Moon - Thank you, and it sucks that losing a friend made me refocus on what is really important in life. It is so easy to dwell on the negative and I think once a month I need to think about why life is good.
ReplyDelete@ Jamie - You nailed it, and that is why I did it. It is so easy to lose track of what really matters.
@ TOPolk - Mrs. Shife and I watched him streaming on Netflix and I felt like I got in an ab workout. My jaw hurt too from laughing so much. I think you should go if the tix are not too crazy. He is definitely one funny dude.
I am pulling for the Packers because I don't much like the Steelers since they beat my Cardinals in the Super Bowl two years ago.
Hmmm so what's wrong with talking to fake plants...
ReplyDeleteSmiled at all items on your list and simply adore the happy family picture.
#5 I thought I felt someone was watching me at the mall. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't know bassets could run a block, much less 3 - 4 miles, cool.
That picture is beautiful...Mrs. Shife is a babe and the babe is a babe too. Lovely family!
ReplyDeleteTerry
What kind of class is Kyle in?
ReplyDeleteBundle bundle! OH, you probably know this guy already but Husband and I have been digging on Jim Gaffigan's comedic style for a while. That guy is a gas!
ReplyDeletenice photo, i stared at it for 10 minutes and couldn't see the tankster.
ReplyDeletewas he out for a jog?
=^.^=

Great list. Are you sure the plastic plant wasn't a person bored to tears?
@ Valerie - Thank you Val and there is not a darn thing wrong with talking to fake plants.
ReplyDelete@ Texlahoma - Well it is finally good to put a face to the blog.=) I was with you on the basset running, but Tanks appears to be a new version of the basset.
@ Terry - Thank you, thank you, and thank you.
@ Duck - Advanced Spanish.
@ Red - Jim is one funny dude. He was the best thing about "My Boys" on TBS and then when he left it really went downhill. And I always think of him when I go by the Hot Pockets at the store.
@ Billy - Tank was off dry humping some cat.=) While we were getting the picture taken he actually was running around at the park we were at chasing squirrels and defenseless children.
@ KnitTech - Thanks for the link. Now my curiosity is satisfied. I have never been to that place and probably never will be. On the other side of town from me and I don't go out anymore.
@ Duck - OK he is just taking a class at The Little Gym.
Lots of things to be thankful here... all wonderful. I got a particular kick out of Tank's jogging. Thanks for the smile.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteMy cable provider doesn't carry Science Channel so I can't get An Idiot Abroad... which pisses me off.
@ Ananda girl - ALways glad to make you laugh. Take care friend.
ReplyDelete@ Just Bob - Thank you kind sir, and hopefully the info I sent you can get you "An Idiot Abroad."
I need to work on a list like this too. But I should wait, because I don't want to look like I'm copying you. That way, in a few weeks/months when I do it, I'll look original. Sort of.
ReplyDeleteI love your number 4. Awesome! Just the way it should be.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am laughing at what it must look like for you to run with your dog. I have a dog that is a chihuahua and daschsund mix (and I can spell neither of those kinds) and she loves to go on long walks with me. People always stop me and tell me they can't believe she can walk so far with such tiny legs.
Great picture first of all :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you put your family #1 I am not sure on my list it'd be close with Purdue Athletics haha JK!!! :)
Hope you're doing well, laughed at the whole son discovering pee pee story
I'd never heard of the Little Gym before. I had to Google it. Looks like a fun activity for the wee ones. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteoh wait-- where's the button to push for "like" ;-)
ReplyDeleteGREAT family photo!
