is under way. Well what is about to get going on really has nothing do with a Dwarfshank Redemption but I just wanted to be the first in blogger history to actually have a post titled Operation Dwarfshank Redemption. I heard this on Chris Hardwick's podcast "The Nerdist" and found myself quite amused that the awesome movie "The Shawshank Redemption" would be recreated with dwarves only. And I have been thinking about dwarves a lot because I am heading down this weekend to find our new furry friend. Yay!!! Rumor is that bassets were bred with dwarf genes back in the day and that is why they have their distinctive look. Have a great holiday weekend with your family and friends, and I look forward to introducing you to my new basset hound when we speak again. Take care, and remember people will accept your idea more readily if you tell them that Abraham Lincoln said it first.

You are a gentleman and a scholar.
ReplyDeleteYou are one funny guy, Shifey. Looking forward to meeting the new hound and will definitely take heed of your advice ... Hmmm did Abraham Lincoln really say no more nookie to his spouse?
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your adventures in bassett hound scouting. I know you'll bring back a good one for Baby Shife to pal around with.
ReplyDeleteThe Shawshank Redemption recreated with dwarves only, what a concept!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing your new Basset.
I can safely say I've never read the words "Dwarfshank Redemption" in my life.
ReplyDeleteI keep tweaking the background on my blog too. I was getting bored with what was there, and now I'm bored with what I put there to replace it.
that's gonna be one lucky dog you adopt!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the new doggy, and I'm going to try the Abe theorem really soon.
ReplyDelete"You know, honey. Abe Lincoln once said that you're not a good wife unless you blow your husband every morning."
Has a nice ring to it . . .
If basset's have dwarf genes then Sir William Barty would be an appropriate moniker for the pooch.
ReplyDelete"Love you! You're awesome." Abe told me that one morning while we were listening to Dr. K. Noisewater go on, and on, and on in the hotel room next door...
ReplyDeleteI'm still wondering what the hell Megan's been drinking...
Have fun finding the new "Wee One." That's one lucky basset. Great weekend to you and the family. XOXOXO
