Countdown to 40 - Day 6

So you might be wondering do I have any big plans for my birthday this year? OK well maybe you were not wondering but just pretend you were and nobody will get hurt except for those people who rooted for Duke last night. Yeah you know who you are. Did you enjoy hearing all the babies cry? All in all it was a good game and it was nice to see Butler play the Dookies tough but I still find it less than favorable that they won. Anyway back on task ... my birthday. Well I will be having a party with family and friends on my day of birth and that is about all I know. Mrs. Shife is in charge and is not telling me much, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood you are more than welcome to stop by and celebrate with us. You might want to get there early because I am not sure what kind of condition I will be in after 8 pm or so. I definitely do not drink as much as I used to but April 24 might be one of the few times during the year that I tie one on or I might try to head down the path to drunkeness and be in bed by 8:30. We shall see, but if you are in the vicinity please join us for the Sweet Sassy Molassey - Shife is Turning 40 fiesta.

  1. Okay Captain Gloom and Doom. Guess I better get the bouquet of black balloons ready for you. Gawd. Such drama. Next year the spotlight is on yours truly and I plan on whooping it up! Sure Duke won, but at least you've got your health ;-)

  3. Sorry Red. Just a little gloom and doom that carried over from my Mom's birthday yesterday. I promise to be more positive, and I am happy as one anti-Dookie fan can be about them winning it all. Looking forward to the black balloons. =)

Angel - I wish I could give more details but all I know is where, when, and there might be a "Big Lebowski" theme.
